Publisher's summary

Katherine Brady is not her real name. But every word of her shocking story is true.

To the outside world, she was a bright, popular, all-American adolescent. But at home, behind closed doors, lived another Katherine - shamed, isolated, afraid - locked in a forbidden embrace from which there was no escape.

It was a secret too terrible to silence. It had to surface, shattering her life, changing it radically - but with its release, bringing at last a new hope, not just to Katherine and her family, but to all the Katherine Bradys everywhere who will recognize themselves as they hear her story.

Painful to listen to, in more than one way

Horribly sad story but very well written. However, it's almost unbearable to listen to. Narration is horrible. I will never understand this choice of narrator. Important story to be told but audible version is terrible.

Powerful story - poor narration

A powerful, honest story about incest and it’s effects. Unfortunately, the narrator was not effective and distracted from the credibility of the narrative.

Narrator reads way too fast

I hope this generator didn’t quit her day job. Way too fast with no emotion

A story of truth in tragedy

This book was difficult at times to read. But very much an eye opener into the world of incest and the consequences.

The worst narrator ever.

This is a wonderful book by Katherine Brady that I read many years ago. The narrator of this audio book ruined it by awful voice expression, mispronunciation of countless words, a shaky, obviously very aged voice with the loud “sh” sounds of dentures on all “s” sounds and annoying sounds of pages turning. Couldn’t they have found someone-anyone-else to read this? You are much better off reading this book than lost to it.
