Hard to listen to

This book was hard to listen to because of the horrible sexual abuse this woman had to go through during her childhood and early adulthood. I suffered through some sexual abuse when I was just a child, but it was nothing compared to this. I feel such empathy for her and such horror at what she had to endure. This lady was so brave in baring her story, and I hope she has achieved some healing through doing it. I admire her so much for using her story to help others who may be suffering, or has suffered, thru child sexual abuse! She is a very strong and courageous woman!

Moving and informing

I have spent time while reading this book wanting to just wrap this woman in my arms and comfort her. This is the most heartbreaking story that this woman has lived through. I absolutely hate that her father never went to jail for his actions. I’d have loved prison justice to play out on her father. Child abuse must be faced straight on and with our full attention or it perpetrates and the abusers hide in plain sight. May God punish this man forever.

Her weakness

I liked nothing about this book. She disgusted me when she reconnected with daddy and even brought her precious daughters around that animal. What a weak gutless stupid woman

Hence, she CHOSE to become an ENABLER like her mother?

The abuse was horrific. However, I don’t see much growth here. She failed to evolve. It wasn’t inspiring, but just made me sick to the gut. The moment she got married & started a new life, she could’ve made police reports & taken legal action against the monster. That cockroach should’ve lived out his days in prison. She could’ve chose to be Honest with her husband & Protect their children. Instead she lived a lie & kept her husband in the dark. That’s betrayal. Why did she allow her children anywhere near those toxic parents? Is it not her duty to protect the family she created? Instead she exposed her family to the toxicity & continued servicing the dad up until her died. The mom was equally toxic as she enabled the abuse from day one. Not only did she allow the abuse, she’s highly manipulative & evil as well as she created smear campaigns against her abused daughter to turn people against her. What a jealous low self esteem parasite. Such people should never have produced.
A story of a gutless, spineless & weak woman that never actually evolved, nor taken any life decisions. She only enabled & continued playing the role she was assigned.
