Publisher's Summary

Avery has a good life. He loves his job as a makeup artist, and he’s ecstatic about being Twink of Honor in his best friend’s wedding. He’s more than capable of supporting himself, but that doesn’t stop him from longing for an older man who’ll take care of him.

Graham Hillingdon has finally repaired his relationship with his son, and he’s thrilled to be part of his son’s wedding day, though he wishes he had a plus one to bring with him. Sadly, he has yet to find a man who appreciates both his dominant and nurturing sides - maybe even someone to call him Daddy.

When Avery and Graham meet at the wedding, attraction sizzles between them, and they end up spending an insanely hot night together. Graham makes sure Avery knows exactly who’s in charge in bed, but afterward, he’s exquisitely gentle. This is just what Avery needs, and Graham is certain he’s finally found a man who desires what he has to give. Neither of them wants to part the next day, but between their age difference and their reluctance to reveal their relationship to Graham’s son, they wonder if they have any chance for a future together. But as perfect as they are for each other, shouldn’t it be worth the risk?

Father of the Groom is the first book in the Love and Care series. Hear more about Graham and Avery in After the Weekend, the second book in the Love and Care series.

Oh Daddy!!

What a hot story! I like that you don’t have to wait long for the good stuff to happen! There’s humor, fun characters, and a hot Daddy and boy, who have hot sex! What more do you need? The voice performance was wonderful!

If I hear yes Daddy one more time...

In my opinion, this book needed to be part of the romance package so you can listen and delete without paying extra for it. The idea of this story and narration were spot on, but because this was a short story, there wasn’t enough development of characters even though the Dad’s back story was dumped on us pretty well. Avery seemed like you could really like him and he had a story to tell, but sadly this author decided to give us more in the form of buy the next book. Yea, NO.

The sex and interaction was yes Daddy about a million times which literally caused me to roll my eyes EVERY time (queue headache). Every time Graham said BOY I thought about that gods of war video game. I won’t be continuing, daddy/boy is not my thing.

short kinky instalove

So... this was definitely one of those insta-love stories...even if it doesnt quite get that far. the story just kind of stops. like no epilogue or finding out where things will go. so I can only guess that the next book will be a continuation or their story. It was an okay book though. Good narration. really it's just about them hooking up, so it doesn't get much deeper than the hesitance of starting a relationship.

Surprise

I like the way these two meet up and how their family is willing to accept that they are together. This was a short listen but I really enjoyed the story.

She's written better

Avery was quite possibly one of the most annoying characters I've ever listened to. The reason for his anger was so unbelievably childish I had to stop listening.

Not a fan

I really tried to enjoy it but by chapter 7, I had become so irritated by Avery’s voice and really felt no excitement to keep on reading.

Brilliant

This story is one of my favourite things to listen to! It’s hot and spicy and funny. It has friendship, angst, drama, heat and love. It was so well written and so well narrated. I would listen to it again and again.

BDSM heat held together by a thin story

My first book by this author, I hope her other works are better. Avery is a cosmetologist who is doing the makeup for his best friend’s wedding. When father of the groom Graham introduces himself to Avery, sparks fly. The tone of this just felt weird. One minute we are at a wedding dealing with the usual family drama, the next minute Avery is subjected to BDSM scenes in Graham’s hotel room, including toys - did Graham really pack these for his daughter’s big day??? The story itself was a rushed, low-angst, paint-by-numbers instalove romance, complete with the unconvincing argument before the final reconciliation, all at complete odds with the large amounts of BDSM kink - it felt like two different books jammed together. It was also disappointing that Avery went from smart and sassy to brain-addled pouty teen over the course of the story. Greg Boudreaux narrated the audio well.
