Love the mystery and romance together!

Liked it all. Intriguing, a couple of twists in plot is nice. I highly recommend!

Great book

I really enjoyed this book. It had so many twists and turns. Great read! I love historical romances.

Novels about WW1 are so enlightening

My first book by Kate Breslin and was delighted to find that it's part of a series. (But not shown as such in the title details).
The story stands alone, only with referencesto other characters, so probably doesn't have to be read in any particular order.
Loved the WW1 setting. Intrigue. Suspense. Romance. Loyalty. Faith.
Sarah Zimmerman is a great narrator with good accents.
Have already downloaded "Not By Sight" and look forward to more from, for me, a wonderfully exciting "new" writer.

Beautiful and suspenseful

As with all of Kate Breslin’s books, I was immediately drawn in by Ms. Breslin’s ability to paint a compelling picture with words. In this book, as with her others, she immediately works her way into your heart with believable characters and all the deep emotions revealed by both their interactions with each other and their private ruminating. She creates a vivid panorama of the world surrounding them in such detail that you feel as if you are experiencing it with all your own senses. The story is both tender and tense, tentative and hopeful, woven in such a way that you can’t stop reading because you can’t know what turn it will take next. All this, with perfect authenticity and simplicity. There is nothing contrived about any of this book; it feels completely real, like a page from your life. Once again, Ms. Breslin has taken us on a journey to a time and place we can never experience on our own, but one which leaves us feeling as if we were there, seeing, hearing, and feeling everything that transpired; and leaving us with an indelible memory.

I loved this so much!

Such a great story. It was exciting to the end. I love the characters, the dialogue, the intrigue. It was totally worth the read. Saving as a favorite!

Enjoyed listening

I really enjoyed this book as I love series, the characters were believable and very interesting. The narrator was lovely and has a wonderful voice.

Fantastic!

This was my first Kate Breslin book and I was impressed. (Read Not By Sight first though, which I also highly recommend) The writing and storytelling were great. The characters were likable and had depth. The plot wasn’t predictable and had a realistic cadence. If you like books by Roseanna M. White, you like this book too.
The narration was excellent too. I have listened to a lot of books read by Sarah Zimmerman and enjoy her so much that I seek her out. Her voices are varied enough to differentiate between characters, but not so cartoonish that they are ever annoying.

Worth a listen

I love that this isnt just another WW2 story. It’s different, and has just the right amount of espionage. Also, I never could figure out who to trust, and I think that takes skilled writing. The narrator was awesome too!

You’ll feel all the feels when you listen to this story.

This is the second book in a series that for some reason is not listed as a series. The first book was Not by sight, the story all about Jack and Grace. This one is Grace’s brother’s story. Then there is a 3rd book about Marcus and I think her name was colleen she’s from the first book. It’s their love story.
I have enjoyed both books so far and looking forward to listening to Marcus story. I love the way the author weaves in the characters faith in everyday situations. Not in a preachy way but in the normal way we walk in our faith. It’s a clean Christian romance but with real world experiences.
