Publisher's summary

What happens when frenemies take the experiment out of the lab and into the bedroom?

Corban Nash is a self-proclaimed data nerd with a sexy half smile and a set of abs that leave girls drooling. He developed a theory he claims will make two people fall in love. And after numerous tests on friends and family, it’s been successful for everyone who’s tried it.

The problem is, it’s never worked on him. And he doesn’t know why.

Still, he’s determined to prove his theory. The only thing standing in his way? His nemesis, Hazel Kiegen.

Hazel refuses to be distracted by Corban’s adorable awkwardness or his temptingly muscular body. He claims to have cracked the code to falling in love, and she’s going to prove him wrong.

From the moment these two rivals meet, their chemistry is irresistible. And what’s wrong with a little sex between enemies? But when they put Corban’s theory to the test for themselves, the results are deliciously unexpected.

Author’s note: Stand-alone romcom featuring a sexy nerd with a great big...heart. Tons of tension and witty banter. Super hot frenemies with benefits. Badass lady friendships with a widening circle of trust. And a romantic HEA that will leave you swooning.

Cute

Cute geek love story with steamy sex scenes. Loved Corbin's internal dialogue, especially early on.

Hot and Spicy Enemies to Lovers!!

The Dirty Martini Running Club is back!! Laughs, friendships, and everything else we’ve come to love about this group of women since we first met them in Everly’s dating disasters.
Everything about Corban was a turn on and adorably irresistible. The random facts, the hopeless romantic, even the socially awkwardness. There’s no wonder Hazel was unable to resist him once he broke down her walls. One of my favorite things was Hazel ‘Owning It’ like the bad a** bih she was. The hate-lust between these two was HAAAAAWT with a capital H! Corban shocked the socks off me because that filthy mouth of his was totally unexpected but oh soo sexy. He has climbed the ranks of all of Claire’s delicious men and resumed his rightful place at the top as my new favorite! Hazel and Corban proved to us that intelligence has never looked so sexy! Virginia Rose and Stephen Dexter truly embodied Hazel and Corban and made the best audiogasm.

Charmingly awkward romantic comedy

I absolutely loved this enemies to lovers stories. Hazel and Corban are charmingly awkward and hot as rivals who are forced to work together on a project. It's hate at first sight but the underlying attraction makes it hard for them to focus and they discover they are more alike than they originally thought. Their chemistry is off the charts and the banter is delightfully fun. Stephen Dexter's and Virginia Rose's narrations of Hazel and Corban are perfection. I think I loved listening to them bring the story to life more than I loved reading the actual book.

Nerds Unite

Anything Stephen Dexter does is GOLD!

This wasn't a easy read like most romance novels. Now I'm not saying that is a bad thing...it made you pay more attention on what was going on. I loved Hazel and her questions for life so glad Corben and what started as Hate sex blossomed into more and they became stronger together.

I LOVE Claire Kingsley, but….

Please believe me when I tell you I adore Claire Kingsley books. I think I own all of them on audio. But this one fell short for me. I found myself drifting every time I listened. It dragged…. I almost didn’t finish but I’m a little obsessive about finishing a book. There was some funny banter, and the ending picked up, but overall it was just not a winner. Sorry!! I’m a little gun shy about buying book 3…

Hazel and Corban ♥️

I absolutely adored Corban and Hazel! They are both such beautiful souls and so perfect for each other. Starting off as enemies, Hazel is not a fan of Corban’s scientifically unproven research but when the College she works for hires Corban to work on a project, Hazel will have to collaborate with him. Corban, who invented the algorithm that powers the world’s most popular dating app and an intimacy questionnaire that all but guarantees a happily ever after, is questioning his own ability to find a love match to share his life with. A bit forgetful, always blabbering random animal facts when nervous, he can be lost in his own world. The story line is so captivating and beautifully build, you cannot not fall in love with all the characters. They jump off of a page into your head and you see their story play out in vivid colors. There are so many exciting “cameos” in Love According to Science. I laughed and I cried; there is so much emotion, swoon, steam, and hilarious banter, yet the protagonists’ developing feelings are portrayed with such vulnerability.
The narration by Steven Dexter and Virginia Rose is absolute perfection. This is a definite MUST listen/read!

Penguins ♥️🐧♥️

Enemies to lovers...a well-used trope but Claire excels in writing it to perfection!

Corban and Hazel - hate on first site. Suspicious of Corban's scientific method that supposedly solves the mystery of pairing up a couple who will take a questionnaire together and fall in love, Hazel sets out to prove he is a fraud. Working in the same research department of a renowned college, they are forced to work together. Believe me, the copy room will never be the same!

The story line was original, the characters believable and very easy to empathize with, and emotions and sexual tension highly palpable. The interactions of the characters were realistic and I particularly enjoyed Corban's greeting the husband of one of Hazel's friends by exclaiming "Hello, Satan."

Stephen Dexter and Virginia Rose were excellent narrators who each had to voice a huge cast of characters plus one random British accent and children. The story flowed through the point of view transitions with each narrator flawlessly picking up where the other left off without the awkwardness that sometimes takes a reader out of the story.

Looking forward to seeing which member of the Dirty Martini Running Club will be next to find their Happy Ever After.

A factually fun read

Corban and Hazel are the sexy smart couple I’ve been waiting for. I enjoyed this enemies to lovers story. The chemistry was undeniably hot between two slightly socially awkward, but attractive people.

Corban is a new hire at Hazel’s job. He has a pretty successful theory that has successfully made people fall in love, except for himself. He’s slightly starved for love and acceptance stemming from all the couples he’s seen and the way his parents treat him.

Hazel is a loner. No close family except for her friends. I’m a huge fan of found family tropes, so I liked how Hazel has this support in her friends and how they understand her. The side story with the training of a half marathon was a great part of the book. Really involved her friends and how human interaction can change the way data can work.

The attraction between these two is hot and impulsive.

I liked this story a lot, but the ending with the prologues felt rushed and for me, not needed. I did like looking forward to more stories with her friends.

Stephen Dexter and Virginia Rose were excellent. I love when I can visualize the characters with the voices.
