Publisher's Summary

Breed warrior Micah is one of the Order's best, his reputation for cold justice and lethal skill rivaled only by that of his formidable father, Tegan. So, when a mission Micah's leading in an off-limits area called the Deadlands goes terribly wrong, leaving him the sole survivor of an apparent Atlantean attack, he won't rest until he has answers...and vengeance for his fallen team.

Phaedra thought it was only a dream, a hideous nightmare. Yet somehow, she had been transported from her life in Rome to a stretch of barren forest when it suddenly lit up with unearthly fire, obliterating everything in its path - including the fiercely handsome Breed warrior she'd encountered in the dream. Or so she believed, until their paths cross again and Phaedra finds herself, and her Atlantean people, at the center of Micah's wrath.

With tensions between the Breed and the Atlanteans already edging toward war, and another powerful nemesis growing bolder by the day, uncovering the stunning truth about what happened in the Deadlands will force Micah and Phaedra to work together in an alliance forged by fate and an undeniable desire neither of them can resist.

Contains mature themes.

Great Addition

I love Lara Adrian’s books. This was no exception. The only real downside I have to say about it is the fact that it was too short! The length of time between books being released makes it difficult to wait until the next book.

Well.... what just didn't happen.

I really love the midnight breed series, BUT, I don't understand why these last few books seem more like filler fluff than any advances in the overall plot. I've been waiting for a showdown with the antagonist groups, but none is given. Again. Now we have another enemy with no resolution. Seriously, I would like to read an end of one enemy before another drops. The only bad guy wrap up in the whole series was the experiments producing nefarious breed warriors. Not to mention the lack of fallout issues in this book. Still a good book, but no substance in the shallow plot this time. I'd really like resolution of the situations presented throughout the series, hopefully we will get the details in the next book.

Another great one

Really enjoyed the story between Micah and Phaedra. Micah was a little harsh and stubborn to say the least and Phaedra is a strong powerful woman. Just what Micah needs. Really enjoyed how it played out. Looking forward to next and last book in the series to see how it will end.

I know we are all anticipating!

I know we are all biting our nails in anticipation of the next release, but the books are getting shorter, a little skeletal and Micah's character lacks substance. This book does leave us with an interesting new story line we thought was at an end so of course searching for the next release. We don't have to wait long, but I'd rather wait a year for a 13 hour read of the first books in the series than a few months for a 7 or 8 hour book that lacks the emotion of previous books. Which were so good I have read them more than once waiting for the next book in the series. Lara Adrian is one of my favorite Authors and she usually doesn't disappoint. I want more of that hardy, sitting on the edge of my seat, depth and feeling that kept me not wanting to set the book down for a moment. Fall of Night I would still highly rate, but it doesn't have the substance of Lucan, Teagan, Chase aka Harvard, Rio or Dante's stories. I want that Lara Adrian back!

omg just bones

Where is the meat to the story? I only got bare bones. I feel like it was super short, lacking depth and detail. Very disappointing character development and therefore unlikely and unbelievable love match. I'm surprised because I've enjoyed most of the other books in this series.

The Breed series at it's BEST

Another 5 star addition. Can wait for the next and last book in the series. It is a bitter sweet feeling.

Almost at the end now. Suspense is killing me

••SPOILER ALERT**

Mica has been found and Jenna has been having more dreams than ever courtesy of the ancient who “chipped “ her.

... and now, masters are worse....

The end of the world is nigh. An ancient once thought dead is on the loose, and we’ve yet to see Selene, the Atlantan Queen. I have no idea how the author can tell the final chapter in one book, but I believe that’s what’s planned. Roll on the final chapter!
