A series of unexplained phenomena create shockwaves across the globe - a huge religious statue moves its arm, and there's a spate of floods and earthquakes. Many think it's the end of the world...
Investigative journalist Alyssa Durham receives a call from an old friend claiming that these phenomena may not be entirely natural, but when he is assassinated in front of her, she finds herself on the run for her life.
Alyssa teams up with Jack Murray, a scientist from a secretive government research laboratory, to uncover the truth. But who wants them dead, and what are they trying to protect?
As chaos descends, Alyssa and Jack are drawn into a battle against an unknown enemy with the highest possible stakes, because one thing they've learnt is that nothing is safe from extinction...

Book's just average, Narration is superb.

What made the experience of listening to Extinction the most enjoyable?
It's a rollicking story, with a great deal of twists and turns, but the performance by Jonathan Keeble is the clear winner. Outstanding , defining job on this read.Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Was never sure about the resolution of this story, and can honestly say I am still shaking my head about the ending. What about Jonathan Keeble’s performance did you like?
Every word of it. Amazing. This is a tour de force by Jonathan. It is worth the credit simply to listen to this performance. Charcters, accents, literally moving. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
If I had the time I would.Any additional comments?
One of the better audio books I have heard in sometime, and a fantastic performance by Keeble. You NEED to spend the credit on this offering!Man, sometimes things just go wrong!

Any additional comments?
I don't know if "jumping the shark" applies to books as it does to television and cinema, but, if so, this story jumps shark after shark, followed by two preposterous shark bites at the end. I kept listening just to hear the next outlandish action sequence. And the ending...I won't give it away, but you'll catch yourself saying, "Are you kidding!?" All that aside, the narrator is very good.Shark! Jump!
