Publisher's summary

It comes in waves.

It's already too late for most of us. Walking around with bio-bombs ticking away in our bloodstreams. Bombs that are synchronized to go off together. Before you know it, you're diving into the deep end of depravity. A pool of insanity you're never coming back from. Surfacing once or twice to witness the horrors you've caused before your soul takes a deep breath and disappears forever.

It's not natural.

The infections occurring simultaneously across the globe prove it's not a freak phenomena. Someone is behind the pandemic that's turning people into insane cannibals. Who'd benefit from so much death and chaos though? The humanity of whatever group pulled the trigger on this madness is seriously up for debate.

There's no vaccine.

Chris watches as the world around him falls apart. Bitten by a loved one, he hovers in a feverish state for weeks, his recovery carefully observed by a group that considers itself above humanity. A group that sees people as prey. Chris becomes a pawn in the war to determine the future of mankind. Follow him as he evolves from being a frazzled 20-something college educated mama's boy into something more. Hopefully, it's enough.

Blood is the root

This story was different than the norm , all the getting caught and being held for months was a little aggravating but this guy was a crap magnet. Overall a good story that I will look for again.

Did they lose there publichair when going blad

This seemed similar to the plan the leavitans used in the show supernatural where they turned people into docile fat slave race.

Spolier
if that don't make sense neither would the Secret family plan to rule the world threw zombie apocalypse. Then we get the protagonist who on two separate times was declared emoun to the virus that can't understand why more people in Gov't or private sectors found out. An don't say
because the vamps hid his condition Lynn even admit that the family did what they did because governments were getting to powerful to control. I just feel that authour got stuck in his own conspiracy plan that he forgot that people talk and you can't silence everyone.

Slow start - fast end!! Fun zombie book!

This zombie book started out a little questionably but hit its stride & I couldn’t stop listening. Great narration! Interesting infection and who’s behind it! Chris and Ortega have a good banter! A couple secondary characters have been great! Love the twist at the end! Can’t wait for book 2! Book was gifted by Matthew Crow.

Love this!

OMG I thought I was over Zombie books but apparently not.

This story is a great blend of Zeds and other things.

I really like Chris and Ortega together.

I actually bought this because Matthew Crow is one of my favorite Storytellers and once again he proved that to be true!

Creative take on Zombies & Vampires

Tbh, I really enjoy R.S. Merritt’s books. I’ve listened to all of his Zombies! And CrWlers series (that’s available in Audible) and really love them.

Strange Zombies and Vampires

The main character Chris has no survival skills at all. Stupid is all I can use to describe him. He never seems to learn from his prior to experiences to avoid being caught again. Unbelievable !! Will not be listening to Book 2

Treadmill Addict in the Zombie Apocalypse!

A treadmill addict named Chris watches the zombie apocalypse unfold from various sofas.

When not trying to find a treadmill, Chris has fever dreams of ninja super models that want to use his body to find a cure for the apocalypse he keeps hearing about on the television.

I didn’t finish this novel, I only picked it because I like Matthew Crow, but I hope Chris found a treadmill and another tube of Pringles.
