Honest resource from a US English teacher in Japan

This book should be required reading for anyone interested in teaching English to school children in Japan. Buy this audiobook and listen to it BEFORE you accept a teaching position in Japan.

Some Americans romanticize moving/working abroad. If you want an honest account of man's experience moving to Japan and teaching English to school-aged children, this is your book! Moving/working abroad has its ups and downs.

I like author-read audiobooks, and I listened to all 4 hours, 30 minutes of this Audiobook. I appreciated the author's honesty and stories. The last chapter is THE BEST. Way to go, Steve!

This is the second book in the author's "Everything I wish I'd known about Japan before I moved there" Series. I liked the first and second books, and I plan to listen to the third book.

My Mom is a retired English teacher in the US. She told me many stories about students as I grew up. Although she never wanted to be an English teacher in Japan, I was curious to hear Steve's stories about teaching English to Japanese students. Mom's stories and Steve's stories are very different!

The accompanying .pdf was helpful for understanding some of the visuals referenced in the audiobook.

Excellent storytelling. Great performance. Overall, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars. Now, onto book #3!

Everything I wish I

This was a fun ,informative book. I did realize that I have no interest in visiting Japan. Narration was good. I was given this book free by the author, narrator or publisher for an honest review.
