Wonderful collection of experiences
Why haven’t I discovered these sooner? James Herriot’s account of his years of experience as a veterinarian are so interesting, endearing, and leave me wanting more at the end of each book.

The last book in the beloved series...
Nicholas Ralph has done such a wonderful job embodying Alf Wight's beloved doppleganger, James Herriot. Of all of the books in the updated audio series, this might be my favorite. It's just wonderful and such a pleasant listen.

Nicholas Ralph is perfect for these classic books
Nicholas Ralph is the perfect narrator for this series. He is also plays a most wonderful James Harriot on the recent PBS series. I’m deeply grateful to him for bringing to life these books that made such an impression on me when I read them as a teenager, and are as wonderful as I remember! I’ve listened through the whole series with Nicholas Ralph twice, and I know I’ll return to them again and again.
