I loved this. If this is your first James Herriot book you are in for a real treat.I have listened many times to the four volume series of James Herriot. I was familiar with all of these stories but I really enjoyed the added tidbits. Did you know that Mrs. Pumphrey helped the first Chinese restaurant in Darrowby to succeed by eating there with Tricky Wu? James Herriot also talks about his other dogs and his last dog, Bodie, who brought him the most pleasure of all.

Oh, I do enjoyed these stories. The narrator was perfect. I could picture the dogs, people and scenery like I was there. I read a number of James Herriot books years ago. Can’t wait to listen to them now.
