Story
They're waiting for you. Those four words should have been a warning. They should have filled Violet with dread. But she was so focused on Rafe's disappearance, she forgot. The resistance was supposed to be fighting for a better world. A group of freedom fighters formed during the Monarch War, pushing back against laws that would see everyone enslaved. For a while there, they gave hope. But with power comes corruption. The Society has been quietly amassing the strength and backing to become a real threat, and not everyone wants to use that power for good.

With the fae and sirens waging war at Blackwood's gates, and no one else stepping in to help - thanks a lot harpies - it's up to me and my sexy Storm Princes to save our kingdom from eminent doom. To do this, we'll have to meet Hydratica head-on in a battle the likes of which we've never seen. Welcome to Darkblood - oops, I mean Darkhen Academy. There are three rules to survive the elite supernatural school: Do not talk or even look at The Seven, the uber-powerful supes that rule the academy. Never go into the Fae forest on a full moon...or else. And most definitely do not fall for one of the extremely hot and unattainable instructors. Too bad I’ve never really been a rule follower...If word gets out that humans are no longer safe from the supes, our worlds will once again be closed off. It’s up to us to stop that from happening.

Publisher's Summary
Welcome to Evermore Academy where the magic is dark, the immortals are beautiful, and being human sucks.
My name is Summer Solstice and this is going to be my year.
Except, in the Everwilde, nothing ever goes according to plan. When the Spring Court heir joins the academy, he traps me in a cutthroat game of bargains and deception in an effort to ruin Valerian.
Worse, someone is using an army of darklings to gather magical items that could raise the Darken and change the fate of the Fae courts - and the human world - forever.
Forces are gathering. Sides are being chosen.
To stand any chance of saving humanity, I must finally accept the soul-bond with Valerian.
But what if he's not truly capable of love?
If you love listening about fated mates, enemies-to-lovers, snarky heroines, and everything Fae, buy this audiobook today and fall into this magical new series that's being called Vampire Academy meets The Cruel Prince!

Didn’t disappoint
Since quarantine started, I have been on a cheesy, YA, fantasy kick. I’ve read probably 60 books this year and this is easily in my top 5. Audrey Grey is a fantastic author, and Vanessa is easily my favorite narrator. As someone who has been listening to this genre nonstop, this book stood out. It’s very romance forward, but not overwhelming. I appreciate the action scenes and they aren’t overdone or too long. Mac, Ruby, and Eclipsa are some of the most well written side characters I have come across.

A stepping stone to whatever comes next
While there was a lot of humor in this modern fairy tale I found the heroine of the story incredibly annoying in her gullibility. Without spoiling anything I found the twist at the end interesting if not predictable. So I guess there's nothing to do but patiently wait for the next installment of the series and hope she redeems herself and turn into the strong female I think she's supposed to be.

A headstrong Summer and a new tormentor, yup, definitely another great read!
Top quality as usual. Vanessa Moyen knows how to narrate! This book felt a bit like a whole new part in this storyline for a while because of the change of scenery and additional characters. After the events of the previous books, Evermore Academy will now take place in the Summer Court. So in this Academy the Winter Prince isn’t the one ruling the school. The way Summer has evolved through the previous books is lovely. She looks more and more the part of a guard than a starving frail looking this with too much sass to put in that body lol. Also, family members are mentioned more in this book as far as I remember the previous book correctly and it gives for extra depth into both the characters and the storyline. Also the interaction between the characters are nice. Once again, it’s a very captivating and sometimes fun story, with loveable characters and one character extra to hate. For the first time the Spring Court comes into play in this storyline and well, let’s say the cruel sides of the fae are present enough. But Summer isn’t a helpless dumb girl. Even with a very dire looking future, she will keep on fighting. With seemingly no good options she still fights her way through without self-pity or anything like that. Maybe there was a better way for her to get through this season but Summer won’t just take the derogatory things the fae say and do to humans so yeah, she get’s in trouble because of her mouth. But I suspect all Evermore Academy fans like that about her! Can’t wait to learn what happens in book 3!

Love this series!!!
I love this series so much! It’s such an amazing series and this second book is even better than the first one was. I can’t wait for the next book. I definitely need to know what is happening next in this series and to these characters. This book has a lot of feelings and also action to enjoy and figure out what is going on. There were a couple times I wanted to smack Vanessa and tell her to stop doing certain things but over all this was such a good book and definitely did not disappoint. This is a fantastic story with an amazing narration!

Even better than Winter!
I really enjoyed Winter but Spring is even better! I’m really impressed with Audrey Grey’s writing style and attention to detail. The character development is excellent and the secondary characters are so amazing and well thought out. The story sucked me in and I could not put it down. Narration was excellent and brought the story to life. Vanessa is a great narrador. I was totally shocked with the twists and turns. I loved the adventures, ups and downs, and action. It was a great blend with just the right amount of romance. Right now, I’m so annoyed with the new villain we were introduced to in this book. He is truly awful. I can hardly wait for the next book!

***Poor Summer Can't Get A Break***
I loved all the different characters and they were developed nicely, world building is great as well and also im glad that Summer's power is growing but o was a bit upset because Valerian gave up everything for her and will do anything for her but she was still holding out for a love declaration. Action should speak louder than words but she is stuck on this idea but i'm glad she realised it in the end but then the evil spring prince already one step ahead so yeah i can't wait to see how Summer going to get out of this bond. Vanessa Moyen as always you are brilliant and i love you xx

LOVE IT!!
I have read my far share of romance novels. I had just finished a few different werewolf series and decided they were becoming predicable. I am new to both Audrey GREY & fae books but let me tell you, I LOVED IT!! There was so many twists and turns, I really recommend reading these if you are considering trying something different. I have listened to both the first and second books in the series and CAN NOT wait for the third to be on audible. I am certainly going to try more of Audrey's other books. I would love for this to be a TV series, I would love to watch it!! Also Vanessa is a great narrater, I really enjoyed listening to these books. I never write reviews this long so thats saying something.
