Wonderful last story

the plot is exciting and believable. This is a great Kathleen E. Woodwiss story. It takes place during the turbulent times of the English civil war between King Steven and Queen Maude.

Slow but okay

I found the story slow and not as exciting as Woodiwiss' other works. it was okay though

the reference to historical events. And the everyday events of that time.

The flow of the story, nothing expected several plot twists. and other love interest other than the main characters.

Classic Woodiwiss

Well Worth waiting for. This unabridged version is so much worth the multi year wait. The abridged version was not worth the price.

I waited years for this?

Number 1 Woodiwiss fan here. Was so excited to get this book on audio and am so bummed by the reader’s voices. The women’s voices were so high pitched and whiney. I almost didn’t make it to the end of the book they were so annoying. I listen to books over and over and am devistated that this is one Woodiwiss book where once is more than enough. Please re-release with a better voice actress!
