Includes a special introduction by USA TODAY bestselling author, Mia Sosa, author of The Worst Best Man and The Wedding Crasher!

It’s the end of the world as they know it—or so they think…

When an international warning siren accidentally goes off, convincing everyone that a meteor shower may just be the end of life as they know it, six couples—friends, exes, crushes and rivals—must take shelter. Inhibitions are abandoned, confessions are made and love blossoms, but what happens when the world doesn’t end?

Filled with humor, heat and hope, this riveting collection of interconnected multicultural stories by acclaimed authors Lane Clarke, Farah Heron, Taj McCoy, Charish Reid, Sarah Smith and Denise Williams beautifully explores the secrets we carry with us—and the joy we discover when we let go and reach for the stars.
  • Two NASA specialist exes forced to reunite under pressure.
  • Competing food stall owners face no escape—from each other or their shared past.
  • Two law students learn just how strongly opposites attract between the library stacks.
  • A pair of literature lovers confront long-held feelings under the covers of a bookstore bunker.
  • A songwriter discovers her newly hired contractor hits all the right notes.
  • Trapped on campus, former college rivals entertain their reignited spark.

🌠 Even If the Sky is Falling: A 5-Star Voice for a 3-Star Apocalypse

When the world is ending (or so you think), inhibitions go out the window! This interconnected multicultural anthology brings together a powerhouse team of authors—including Taj McCoy and Denise Williams—to explore six different couples caught in the "meteor shower" that wasn't. While the stories themselves landed as a 3-star experience for me, the 5-star narration cast truly saved the day! 🌠🏗️✨

☄️ Six Couples, One "False" Alarm
From NASA exes forced into a high-pressure reunion to law students finding chemistry between the library stacks, this collection covers every trope from rivals-to-lovers to forced proximity. The "apocalypse" setting acted as the ultimate truth serum:

The Bookstore Bunker: A literature lover's dream! Confronting feelings under the covers while the sirens wail was a highlight. 📚🛌

Food Stall Rivals: The tension between competing owners proved that some "shared pasts" are just too delicious to ignore. 🌮🔥

The Songwriter & The Contractor: Watching a creative find the right notes with a "newly hired" hand added a sweet, soulful rhythm to the chaos. 🎸🎶

🎙️ The Narration: An All-Star Ensemble
This is where the collection truly soared. With a mix of "old/familiar and new" voices, the narrators brought a depth to these characters that made the listening experience far superior to a standard read.

Adenrele Ojo & Soneela Nankani: These veterans brought their usual "fabulous" energy, grounding the multicultural dynamics with authenticity. 🎙️🌍

Teddy Hamilton: As the standout male voice, he delivered that signature "sauce" that makes even the end of the world feel like a "fab place to lay your head." 🎙️🔥

The Newcomers: The addition of Karen Murray, Marissa Hampton, Donnabella Mortel, and Joy Beharie created a rich, diverse soundscape that kept the "humor, heat, and hope" alive throughout every chapter.

✨ Why This Anthology Works (Even if the Stories were Mid-Tier):
The Interconnectedness: It was fun to see how one "international warning siren" rippled through so many different lives simultaneously. 🚨

Diversity of Romance: The range of "multicultural stories" is exactly what we look for—diverse representation that feels "real-world" and inclusive. 🌈❤️

The "What Happens After" Factor: The best part wasn't the panic; it was the awkward, "sizzling" realization that the world didn't end and they now have to live with their confessions!

My Final Verdict
Even If the Sky is Falling is a 3-star read but a 5-star listen. If you love a diverse romance with a ticking clock, let these narrators guide you through the "meteor shower." It’s a "riveting" reminder that sometimes it takes a false alarm to realize what—and who—is truly important! 🌠💍💖

3-star read but a 5-star listen

I love the idea of this compilation. And I liked the premise. But the stories themselves were just OK—they all followed a similar formula, and it was hard to get invested in the characters when each story was so short. My fave was Denise Williams (last story).

Neat idea, but the stories were just OK

Honestly disaster stories are a fave genre of mine, and combining it with romance was brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Loved it!

Like most of the short stories. I wish all the stories had an ending (epilogue). It was nice to have the epilogue for the first story

Not all

Overall it was a good mix. The last story was the best! Some of them could have been omitted but overall it wasn’t a bad read.

Some of them were meh
