This was such a fun, lighthearted read.

This was such a fun, lighthearted read. It had me nonstop giddy giggling at times! I really enjoyed Retta and Duncan. Retta did the best she could with the hand she was dealt and watching her constantly work to stay on top / not let her family’s BS get to her was inspiring. Duncan was such a cinnamon role until the time came and then that man’s mouth?? WHEW!

The side characters were great too. The plot is easy to follow and the story is enjoyable. My only down points were that it was 3rd person POV (really not my fav) and then the other thing I feel would be a spoiler. It’s nothing huge, just not a preferred trope.

Otherwise, I really liked this overall. I would’ve loved an epilogue or something beyond what felt like a mildly abrupt ending, but I’ll still be excited to read more if this becomes a series. This was my first for this author and I’d be interested to read more.

Awesome narrating duo!! The story was super cute!! Emmanuel's voice takes on such a sexy growl when he's reading the sex scenes. whew!!!

I wasn't sure what to expect, having never experienced this author before. But this was a cute little love story and I truly enjoyed it. I felt like the ending was abrupt, but other than that, it was engaging and enjoyable.

Spicy and fun!

I just read a very serious lit fic book and needed something sweet, with a happy ending ensured; Mimi Grace absolutely delivered. The tension and angst between the MC and love interest had great payoff and their relationship progression felt believable. Maybe I missed it, but the title doesn’t really seem to have with anything to do with the story, and as with any fake dating trope, the plot was a little predictable, but that’s also exactly what I was looking for. The dual POV flowed easily and all the characters were loveable and fun.

Cute & Spicey

I enjoyed this fake relationship to lovers novel. It started out really subtle but by the time it ended it was full flames. I can see this being taken from a real life story…I’m sure elements of it were. I will be looking for other books from this author.

I actually love both the male n female narrators! AO is one of my favorites as well. The story was cute without a lot of the heavy drama I’ve been listening to. Needed a break with something light hearted! def was giving what I needed!
