Surprisingly, I was tearful at the ending

The way the author wrote the main character. You didn’t “disljke” her as much as you think you would?

This book was really well written and I do believe some people can be in love with two people at the same time! As hard as that must be, I believe Marni did a superb job making you love all three equally. I am so glad that Lance didn’t have to get his heart broken and that Oliver was understanding and gracious enough to let Chloe go back to her husband to have a family. That is true love!
My hope is that in their next life Chloe and Lance will get their chance for a happily ever after.

My only complaint would be that we didn’t get to hear from Shane East until the very end, but still loved Ava Erickson’s narrating.

Oh, my heart.

This book made me so mad at the characters. I couldn't stop listening though. I'm still a little mad, but also heartbroken .

Chloe’s shallowness

She was more concerned that her best friend would find out about her affair than she was about her husband finding out about it. That’s f’d up. The husband is the only victim. He’s the only one who had no clue. How can anyone sympathize with he? It was an entertaining story but she doesn’t deserve any sympathy.

All sex, no story

This book doesn’t take enough time to make you like the main character before she starts cheating on her husband. They didn’t bother with character development. Just a lot of graphic sex scenes. Voice actors are great, as always. Just the actual content that didn’t work for me.
