It's been said that of all the seven deadly sins, envy is the one that's no fun at all. It makes us feel small, ashamed, even angry with the world, or ourselves. But what if we've been thinking about envy all wrong?

Envy Enlightened is a four-hour audiobook narrated by Faith Salie that will teach you how to listen to your envy and make it work for you, not against you. You'll learn how to destigmatize and normalize envy—because it is normal—and how it can often help you reach your full potential. With insight and practical advice from a recurring group of experts and "honest geniuses" who range from researchers and psychologists to a bestselling romance author and a Zen master, this is a journey that weaves intimate life lessons with research-based advice designed to help you reframe and rethink how envy can often actually improve your life.

This is well written. It prompts me to question and rediscover my own relationship with envy. I realize that, often, envy is what pushes me to fight for what I want in life. It forces me to visualize myself in the future as the very image of what I envy today. When I see someone who is successful or has accomplished something amazing, it fuels my ambition. I hold their image in my mind as motivation—to reach the top and gain the opportunity to compete with the best. You truly must read this book.

Amazing book!!!!

This book was a useful tool of measuring oneself, mentally and emotionally regarding the emotion and the mental state of envy although I don’t have a problem with envy mainly because I am always self reflecting, and because I grew up having been the object of envy, I knew exactly how terrible it was And I never was attracted to it. I like to say there’s a category called the best and anyone can be in it if they strive.

A very useful tool for measuring oneself, mentally and emotionally

Had some big ahHa moments! Since envy is so private, you don’t even want to admit to yourself. This book made it “okay” to feel.
