THE SUNDAY TIMES TOP TEN BESTSELLER

A heartbreaking memoir from a girl who escaped county line trafficking only to become prey to other abusers…

Emily has always felt like an outsider, so when a family friend takes her under his wing she is delighted. But soon it becomes clear that his motives are not all they seem.

At the age of 11, Emily is groomed into being a ‘county lines’ drug trafficker. It is the beginning of a vicious cycle that sees her become prey to one abuser after another, involving a huge child-sex-trafficking gang.

The scale of the abuse – at the hands of hundreds of men – is sickening, and at times it feels like there will never be an escape. But then, in the darkest of moments, a ray of light shines …

This is the moving true story of how one girl overcame her traumatic past and learned to love for the very first time.

This book is good the way a horror movie is good.

Unfortunately I can't say much more without criticizing the author. It's the classic debate of when does one go from adolescence to assuming responsibility.

Difficult content awaits

The book is worth getting. Really about trafficking, not drugs, but her reliance on getting drugs resulted in trafficking.
The narrator was easy to understand but her voice was too old for the book.

Good book but needs younger voice.

she was only a little girl, such a heartbreaking story. so much youth stolen and so much tragedy and breath holding horror these animals put her through. I wish she would have just had the courage to tell her parents about the baseball field incident, maybe then her life wouldn't have been as bad. but even know it was all horrific, it had a great and beautiful ending. God works in mysterious ways, sending you a precious child saved your life. What a miracle! I love reading stories of survival and strong women. My heart and prayers will always be with you.

unbelievable, heartbreaking, survived

Enjoyed the book but was hard to listen to at times because of the narrator, it was read in a “bip bob” type of style that got irritating at times. I also felt the narrator sounds a bit too old for this book.
The book itself was very captivating!

Hard to listen to narrator
