Top 10 series

Honestly, apocalypse parenting is definitely in my top 10 series of LITRPG. This particular book was extremely well paced and had you listening to every word. it's definitely worth the buy/credit!

I love the storyline and the humor.

Overall, it’s a great series to read and listen to. Not on dungeon crawler Carl level but still fantastic. I would highly recommend. I wish they would’ve had woman voices for the women and slightly different male voices for the men, but overall great story.
Love the ending! Can’t wait to read/listen about the humans destroy the bad aliens.

Much needed tie-in

It was great to finally get to hear the story from a new perspective. It was fast paced and didn’t waste time re-explaining things that readers would have learned in the first 3 books. I loved it and appreciated the surprise side quest.

After hanging out with Megan and the kids, it’s wonderful to see what Vince has been doing and follow him on his adventures as he tries to get home.

Peak LitRPG

This is a side novel in the Apocalypse Parenting series. It covers the same period as the first four books in the main series, and should probably be read between books 3 & 4.

Here we see the odyssey of Vince Moretti's (the husband of the protagonist of the main series) return to Huntsville from Denver International Airport. And "odyssey" is an apt description of the journey. Initially, they decide to head south from Denver because they are traveling with a group that wants to return to southern California and it's convenient to travel together.

Vince's party consists of his fellow aerospace engineers on a business trip, and they use their experience and training to solve problems in a very different way than Megan and her allies do in the main storyline. The characters are written very well, with individual personalities, strengths, and weaknesses, and their interpersonal dynamic is believable and compelling.

This book is aimed directly at an audience that thinks of game systems as puzzles to be solved. The protagonists approach the problem in front of them methodically and efficiently. Their solutions are innovative, and they reveal more of the game world through their results.

The plot is compelling and the characters are sympathetic and entertaining. As with the rest of this series, this book is excellent. This has become my favorite straight LitRPG series since I first started it in March. Both the book and the series are highly recommended.

Fantastic side story - must read before moving to book 4.

This installment did not disappoint. The husband's story was interesting from start to finish and it was really fun reading about the same events from his point of view. the beginning was especially gripping since he started in a very populated area so monster spawns were very fast, leading to completely different challenges. There was also a moment when he notes that one of what we know to be his wife's signature skills was is terrible choice. That was one of a few Easter eggs I really enjoyed. This book has a lot faster pace so it's better to read the first three before diving into this one, as a lot of the mechanics arenot explained thoroughly here. My one gripe is that female voices weren't great but the narrator was otherwise fantastic to listen to.

amazing story

progression and pacing was amazing keep em coming. as a parent this makes you think what would you do and how far would you go to make it back to your family. answer is all of it.

another great book

if you liked her other trilogy. You'll enjoy this one too. and there is a 15 word minimum.

why is this so amazingly good?

this is probably one of my favorite ongoing series right now and every chapter just hits perfectly. Aaron & knock out of the park on this one. and you can listen toost of this without having also listened to apocalypse parenting but they're all so good.
