Publisher's Summary

EAT. SLEEP. FOOTBALL.

Those are Jackson Jennings Jr.’s three mantras. His entire life, he’s been a trained athlete with only one endgame: the Pros. No girls. No parties. No alcohol.

EAT. SLEEP. FOOTBALL.

Repeat.

Every Friday night, Triple J cruises the strip on campus, bored, lonely, and conditioned not to party. But the night he meets Charlotte Edmonds on the side of the road, he wonders if his three mantras will ever be enough.

BIG. DUMB. JOCK.

Charlie has no time for Jackson’s antics. Not when he’s stealing her food or teases her to no end, making her tingle in all the right places. But if she’s ever going to have a boyfriend, she’d choose one who isn’t a Neanderthal. One with manners and actual time to spend with her. Not a hulking man-child who cruises the strip at night in his Big. Dumb. Truck.

Slow Slow Slow

So I loved book 1, I liked book 2, but book 3 is just too slow... it took 5 hours of listening before there was even a kiss. I wanted to love this one as much as book 1 but honestly it was just ok to me. I love Ava and Jacob that's the only reason I even finished it. If you aren't a audible escape member I'd say not worth the credit.

"So adorable 😍😍😍😍😍 and Jacob Morgan swoon"

I just love these stories and Jacob and Ava made these characters come alive. I love how Sara takes these college romances make them believeable add alittle funny and sweet moments and you have one perfect story. I usually listen to anything she writes and being that these stories are apart of romance package that's a plus.. Great listen!

I just loved it!

This book was so sweet. Never encountered a story like this with the male lead demonstrating such raw honesty... and Jacob Morgan NEVER disappoints!

Submitted a bit early?

I like the story and the characters but oh, how great it could have been if it wasn’t incomplete when handed in! Not sure it was even edited! So many irritating errors and inconsistencies. Referring to a man as an “alumna”. Having her say “he had shaved and smelled so good” and in the same scene he curses himself for it having shaved. He walks her home and doesn’t know where she lives... though he was supposed to have picked up her tire to have it repaired earlier in the week. And so on. Nothing really dire, just... careless. Even the chapter headings are like an outline; while nothing was better in the Douchebag books than the hilarious chapter headings!!

Zero complaints about the narration of course. And the characters are quite likeable, if only lightly fleshed out. Still a pretty good listen.

Really good story, even though...

Overall opinion: This was a really entertaining story even though some scenes were drawn out 15 minutes longer than necessary (just my opinion). Sara's stories always have good banter and this series gives the H and h time to build their relationship. Jacob and Ava always add to the story with their portrayals of the characters.

Light and fluff NA sports romance

I think this is my favorite of the series so far. JM and Ava Erickson were delightful and the banter between them is funny and so darn cute. Really enjoyed it once the story move along.

Fun read!

**3.5 Stars**

I've really loved this series so far, but my complaint for Jock Row as well as this book, is that they are much too short and feel mildly incomplete.

Let's start off with all the good things.

The FEELS, oh the feels. This book was so sweet and funny. It definitely wasn't angsty, so do not go into this expecting that. Although, I feel like if you've read the first two books you'll know not to expect angst because it's not a theme in this series. I loved Jackson and Charlie's chemistry. It was a fairly slow burn so there was definitely time for it to develop at a natural pace. I loved their meet cute at the beginning of the book and their subsequent random encounters throughout. Charlie gave Jackson so much lip for being a jerk that it had me cracking up. Jackson's sometimes naivety to his entitlement was kind of hilarious at times.

Charlie was a really fun character because, like I said previously, she didn't hold back. She was very honest with her feelings and opinions with Jackson, even if they sometimes took a minute for her to say them. She was also willing to go at a slow enough pace for Jackson while still pushing him out of his comfort zone inch by inch. One thing that absolutely drove me crazy about her, was her constantly mentioning and making fun of Jackson's accent. We get it, you find his accent adorable and funny. If I was Jackson, I would have started to get offended or annoyed by it. It was that often.

Jackson was adorable. He was so naive because of how sheltered he was growing up and he was so awkward. I liked that he admitted to his flaws and really took to heart when Charlie pointed out when he was being a jerk.

So what I didn't like. As I said before, it felt short. I feel like Charlie and Jackson's story was not done yet. There was so much more that could have been done with it. There were questions that were left unanswered. I don't feel like Jackson had any resolution with his family and I don't feel like anything changed just because of the one, singular conversation. We also never find out what happens to Jackson and Charlie post-college. The epilogue is them still in college. What happens with the draft? The internship? It's definitely a HFN, not a HEA. I was just left feeling dissatisfied.

The narration was fantastic. Ava Erickson and Jacob Morgan bring the characters to life. Both of them have excellent reading voices and always bring a lot of emotion into the characters. I love when this duo come together to narrate a book!

Despite my grumblings, I still recommend this book and I'll definitely read it again. It was truly a really sweet book and I just like how well Sara Ney flushes out her characters. She's fantastic at writing chemistry and the sex scenes in this book were HOT. If you've liked the previous two books, you'll definitely like this one, but it probably won't be your favorite of these series. Definitely dive into this one, though!

Can’t get enough of Jock Romances!

Seriously Sara Ney writes Jock Romances the best! Loved Jackson’s southern charm and some of the southern language was just LOL! Definitely a slow burn romance with little drama, definitely listen if you love this series! Ps...great Narration as always Jacob Morgan ❤️
