Acerca de esta escucha

Lies, lies, lies. Everybody tells them....

Greyson Keller didn't intend to lie; it just came out that way. So when the object of that lie shows up on her doorstep, she is confused, shocked, and embarrassed.

Calvin Thompson is an Ivy Leaguer, attending a university over an hour away, playing rugby and basically not giving a crap. So imagine his surprise when some guy named Greyson begins rumors online that they're dating - the only logical solution is to drive an hour and confront him....

Be there when Greyson and Cal finally meet face-to-face because.

Sparks. Will. Fly.

This novel, along with all others in this series, is a stand-alone with no cliff-hanger.

You're welcome.

Yes, sparks fly. That's why this book is intended for those 17 and older. Foul language, cursing, and sexual content.

I almost quit listening halfway through just because hearing hashtags and email addresses being read. Felt bad for the narrator. It really distracted from the story line. Trying book 2, but if it’s more of the same, I’ll delete the book and more on

Way too much listening to email addresses and hashtags being read

I am sorry but Sara Ney just does it for me. I freaking adored this novella/book. Greyson and Cal were so adorably sweet my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. This is the type of book I look for when I want my heart to soar.

Could I love this any more?

The audience for this production is preteen and high school (although there is plenty of explicit sexual content and language). Narrators were chosen accordingly. Somewhat following the format of "Pamela", most of the story is told via texts. Protagonists are low intellect jocks and sorority types; plot is reminiscent of 1960's beach movies. No brain-straining political, social or moral issues involved.

Updated "You've got mail" for next gen juveniles

I enjoyed the story! I thought it was cute, it dealt with lots of issues college kids face, and the romance was sweet. However, I do agree that this isn't the best book to listen to. The constant reading of the hashtags and email addresses grew tiresome! I thought once they exchanged phone numbers it would end but it did not!

I agree about the email.

A cute, sweet and lighthearted romance. Cal and Grey have an interesting meeting but the friendship they develop is simply beautiful. Their connection and chemistry is undeniable and absolutely palpable. I enjoyed every second of this adorable story.
Alexander Cendese is one of my favorite narrators. He always brings amazing enthusiasm to any character he narrates. Both narrators brought these wonderful characters to life.

I enjoyed this story and performance, but almost didn’t make it thru!

Performer reading over and over and over and over and over the addresses ………..edu ! This might have been skipped when reading! I would have skipped it if I were actually reading and not using audio!

Good story

Male narrator sounded more like a radio announcer than a person and his female voice was awful!

Male narrator was annoying

This doesn’t follow the pattern of a typical audiobook romance, which is refreshing and somewhat frustrating. What I mean is (spoiler alert) that “what you see is what you get” with these characters: both characters are genuinely good people and end up loving each other, making the correct choices and there is no unexpected tragedy. I will probably enjoy it more the second time around. Because of the title, you may expect some drama. The title is misleading with the mention of lying. I was bracing myself for something bad to happen, for some bigger lie to come to the surface or for some miscommunication to mess things up before they are repaired. At every turn I was expecting it and that was the frustrating part, paradoxically. Nothing bad happens in this book. It like bowl of warm soup. With commercial romances I usually don’t let myself get swept into the apparent happiness because there is usually a twist in the story, meant to shock you. That works for me, in the vast majority of cases because once the twist is thrown in, I can relax and wait for the HEA. That also keeps me from enjoying a sweet story like this one, at least the first time I read it. Not sure if this makes sense to anyone else.

I agree with everyone who mentioned the annoying reading of emails and constant mentions of their names in the text exchanges. That doesn’t advance the story in any way and in an audiobook is grating. I did enjoy some of the hashtags but, because there were a lot of them and combined with the email addresses, they were easy to miss.

The dialogue is funny and, contrary to what others said, it’s not that evident that these are young people. I think that the relationship between the main characters is real and their approach to the whole thing is very mature. Yes, it is verbose and social media oriented but it is spirited and fun.

I don’t really understand the epilogue and I don’t think that changing POV helped with anything other than confusion but in my mind G&C got their HEA.

This is a quick and fun read and I recommend it for a relaxing time. The book is actually much shorter than you would expect because of all the extras at the end. Narrators are OK.

Sweet story, try to get over the annoying email addresses

Easy in complicated college students who meet through a complete fluke of circumstances. Then by tweets, emails and texts get to know each other
Cute story, easy listen
