A left leaning book, aimed at the evil republicans for altering voting machines

Almost laughable with the hardcore leftist slant to the book and it is difficult to get through at times.

Was fun to read a book by an author slamming the right 7 years before the left did what the author claimed the right was doing.

But hey, it’s fiction, so it was a good read.

Steljes needs to hire someone who can help him with weapons and weapon related terminology.

Another Winner in This Series

I'm reading this series in order with several others in-between. I continue to like Mac and the other characters in his life. Nice, comfortable love story without a lot of graphic sex scenes. Lots of murders, again no gratuitous violent descriptions.

This plot was far-fetched (St Paul cop and fired FBI agent involved in a presidential race). But still a fun read.

Look forward to the next in a few months.

Narration was fine, although I had difficulty remembering what voice went with which character.

Excellent

Political and the means of what corrupt people will go thru, with rigged voting machine, corrupt management . What happens on a campaign trail. The audio was great and added to the tension . Given audio for my voluntary review.

Excellent

Would you listen to Electing To Murder again? Why?

I don't generally read or listen to books more than once. This one was very good though so I might consider it.

What other book might you compare Electing To Murder to and why?

Might be a mix between a Dan Brown book where there is a lot of action and a Grisham book for the story.

What does Johnny Peppers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mr. Peppers does excellent voices for the characters. He has a calming, smooth voice as the narrator.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I spent hours at a time listening and waiting for the time I could listen again.

Any additional comments?

Stelljes is a very good writer and Peppers bring his characters to life. A great partnership and I can't wait for the next one.

Excellent and somewhat prophetic story line

Loved story line. The variety of challenges for the "good guys" was well thought out. The only downside for me was a redundancy of words and situations. The editors should have pared down the repeats of the story lines. In all an entertaining listen.

Great story - feels 'Real'

I like the mcRyan series. It somehow feels more like a ridealong with real cops working out a case rather than some superhero. Great book!

Gripping

Yet another McRyan mystery novel that was gripping to the end. I have to say this one was slightly predictable compared to others I have read.

All Sandford fans apply here!

Simple, if you are a John Sandford fan you will love the series of books. Also, look for the little tipping of the hat to Lucas Davenport in this book.

Why bring partisan politics into the story?

This novel, like the others in this marvelous crime thriller series, probably deserves 5 stars, but the author unnecessarily decided to bring partisan politics into the story in a "preachy manner". I down rated the novel one star due to the political angle.

I am not listening to the 5th and most recent book in the McRyan mystery series and the partisan politics are not there, This is a wonderful series and the narration is also outstanding.
