Publisher's Summary

In the riveting sequel to the Amazon top 10 best seller EMP: Equipping Modern Patriots - A Story of Survival, Jonathan Hollerman masterfully paints a realistic world of chaos and despair and an incredible will to survive in the aftermath of a nationwide, long-term, grid-down scenario.

When the retreat where Sean and Maria reside suddenly grows exponentially, they must make tough decisions on splitting up and dividing their resources. Unknowingly, this leaves them vulnerable to a new, much larger threat that looms nearby. The devastation of America is also revealed through the eyes of a new character, Lt. Col. Bruce Harris, Commander, 31st Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division. Colonel Harris is tasked with restoring electricity to the small town of Warren, PA, reestablishing order to the area, and tracking down a rogue platoon of Army Rangers that are reportedly pillaging the countryside. All is not as it seems though, and his orders will have life-changing consequences that leave him questioning where his true loyalty lies.

A fan....

EMP : equipping modern patriots is a great second story of this series. I know some have an issue with the Christian experience detailed however I am a fan of how the Lord leads during difficult situations

Dont let the different readers throw you

I was disappointed when i saw the narrator was not the same as the first book as i had grown used to his voice and his voice for the characters, but after a few chapters i got used to this new narrator, i just could not stop listening to part 1, and replayed it several times, part 2 is no different, “can’t put it down”

I just don't know.

The author paints zero picture of its surroundings or charactars. Is it cold or warm, sunny, cloudy. what do the cities look like after the emp? I couldn't get any picture in my head of anything or anyone.

I was very happy with this book, it followed in the foot steps of the 1st. I can't wait to read the third book.

Good Book, Sufficient Narrator

I enjoyed the story. Somewhat unique for this genre. I do not particularly care for the narrator but he did his job well, just not an ideal reader for me.

If you follow closely there is a lot of advice

great series over all, some social interactions that seem unattural but gives a human element to the story line. follow each book closely of you looking for advice, there is a lot in there that is either supplied by story line, mention by name or even hinted at because of a need the characters faced.

Much better than the first

The story was a vast improvement over the first book and the info for a into it... but the actor felt the need to add thick accents to every single character with a remotely ethnic name... It was pretty distracting... they are all American military why would they all sound like the just got off the proverbial boat?

Fantastic Really good book and well written

Really one of the best in the genre. Well written and a really great listen. One of the things I like about these types of books is all the references to the gear they use by name. You know when this guy recommends gear it comes with a great deal of knowledge behind it. The story is great. I'm going to listen to it again.
