Publisher's Summary

In the riveting sequel to the Amazon top 10 best seller EMP: Equipping Modern Patriots - A Story of Survival, Jonathan Hollerman masterfully paints a realistic world of chaos and despair and an incredible will to survive in the aftermath of a nationwide, long-term, grid-down scenario.

When the retreat where Sean and Maria reside suddenly grows exponentially, they must make tough decisions on splitting up and dividing their resources. Unknowingly, this leaves them vulnerable to a new, much larger threat that looms nearby. The devastation of America is also revealed through the eyes of a new character, Lt. Col. Bruce Harris, Commander, 31st Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division. Colonel Harris is tasked with restoring electricity to the small town of Warren, PA, reestablishing order to the area, and tracking down a rogue platoon of Army Rangers that are reportedly pillaging the countryside. All is not as it seems though, and his orders will have life-changing consequences that leave him questioning where his true loyalty lies.

Not what you think

If I wanted to read the Bible I would have bought one. This is not a story about the end of the world. It's a story how god will save us all if we pray and believe. Disappointed.

A fan....

EMP : equipping modern patriots is a great second story of this series. I know some have an issue with the Christian experience detailed however I am a fan of how the Lord leads during difficult situations

Ready for number 3

I liked the first book in this series, it dealt with the EMP on the local level, and began a good amount of character development, the second book expands on the first in a broader way and it is a really exciting book. In this second book the writing is much better and the story has much more complexity than the normal equipment you should have list. The drama unfolding is well developed and exciting - I went through this book very quickly.
Great story, solid writing style and great narration;
Highly recommended

A weak sequel

The second story in this series leaves a lot to be desired. Story has some interesting elements but it spends too much time showing us how moral and Christian and good our main characters are compared to everyone else. The colonel character annoyed me to no end, but his story is more interesting compared to Sean and his family. You'll get sick of how lucky Sean is and how everything just works out for him, right up to his own father surviving an absurd journey through post-collapse America while injured.

Extremely boring and turns out to be a sales pitch

After reading his 1st book full of preparation gems I was very keen to see what this one had.
Nothing useful and a long very unlikely story that wouldn't even be made into a low budget TV movie.
