Publisher's summary

[I was reborn too weak to become an adventurer, so I opened an item shop by the dungeon instead!] [Book 4]

This is it: their final chance at life and happiness.

It’s all come to an end. After the events of the east, there’s only one city left where Fresh and her new family can hide from the dangers of the world, desperately clinging to the last hope of normality that the four of them share under the boughs of the great world-tree that hang far over their heads in the central city of the nation. Surrounded on all sides by powerful, high-level adventurers of renown and ancient-blooded nobles, Fresh, Jubilee, Basil, and Shamrock do everything they can to hold their heads down as long as possible, working in secret toward the desires of Fresh’s patron spirit, whom they are not able to disobey, despite the dangers it presents to them all.

The Dungeon Item Shop opens its doors one last time in the most dangerous location yet, selling a wide variety of enchanted goods and wares to the unsuspecting people of the protected, regal city that people of the outside world aren’t allowed to enter.

Fresh, unable to escape her past any longer—that of her old life and the past of this new one—is torn between her patron’s control over her spirit and her own heart’s desire to live this new, warm life that she’s somehow managed to scrape together despite it. Desperate to keep it safe, together with her new and only family, Fresh is confronted with the heaviness of her actions and must come to a decision regarding her nature as a person.

Is such a thing as a happy ending even possible for the four of them after all that has happened, or is the best that they can hope for the ability to desperately cling to one another as they collectively sink into the poisoned world they themselves have helped create?

Find out in this wholesome, dark fantasy adventure, the final installment of Dungeon Item Shop, written by renowned and trending author D.M. Rhodes!

a truly amazing series and great ending

there is a spoiler at the end so beware. okay, this series is amazing and the narration was perfect. I loved it and even with the few accounting book and experience point bits that felt like they weren't on forever at times I couldn't get enough. I love all 4 main characters and their dynamic. this book in particular really helps the reader understand why Fresh is the way she is and I love her more for it. I felt Shamrock really shines in this book, he does well in the others but I just really felt him here. Basil made me fall for her again and again, this book only added that fuel. Jubilee is, as always Jubilee. Fresh is Fresh but definitely a lot more grown up and that slow build of her character felt so good by the end...... so....... my spoilery complaint.... there are a few things that were easy to see coming and had I not wanted soooo sooooooo very badly for Fresh and Basil to get together it was obvious Jubilee and Basil had a thing going on... it was honestly a let down that Basil got with Jubilee and that that was revealed in the last 20 seconds of the book! if you're going to let me down there just put that before the big battle so I feel at least a little good in the end. I was left disappointed and upset. I waited from the very first book for Fresh and Basil to get together and got that... it wasn't enough to completely ruin the fun I had up until then but man that just sucked and left a horrible taste in my mouth.

Probably the best 1 yet.

However, I see logic issues in the ending. But hey if there is another book in the future I'll probably read it, this was good. The ending was great, and expected as much.

worst of the series

the fool triumphant, is usually an amusing read when done well. This book needed a good editor to rein in the author, or more honest beta readers. The main character is even more of a spoiled child than the previous books.
