Publisher's summary

The epic finale. It is time to take down the megacorporations once and for all.

The people of B.A. City are ready to throw off the yoke of their oppressors. At last, Moss and his friends are able to take the fight directly to the companies, but are they too late? Their enemy acts first and Moss finds himself having to save the planet before he can free it.

The shadows of his past continue to haunt him and every decision he has made comes into question as Moss enters the final showdown with his former employer. What he wants, and what he is willing to do to get it, plague his malfunctioning mind. Old friends become the key to victory but only if they can survive long enough.

Can Moss finally avenge his parents and set the planet free?

An amazing conclusion to an unbelievable saga.

The story telling is so good that I can see everything in my head as the story is told. I grew to love the characters and the world the author built. I can tell he poured his heart and soul into this book and this saga. The narrator is amazing at expressing the story and breathing life into the characters. this series will always hold a place in my heart. The writing is artistic and beautiful. A must read. It makes me sad it's over but it was perfect. I'm excited for his new series! Congratulations on such an outstanding saga.

is that a good ending?

though Moss accomplished the goal set by his parents in saving the world, i didn't care for how it all ended.
after all they had been through, Moss and Issy could have made it through.
this book felt like the author rushed through to get it done. I'm not saying it was poorly written, just rushed.

Fantastic

While this series had its issues, it was pure cyberpunk. Victory and loss, in equal measure. Thumbs up.

Bad ending to the series

Warning: this review may contain spoilers.

This series started off great, but the last 2 books are real downgrades. The dialog is repetitive, and not compelling. The program that was teased throughout the series, waiting to be fully revealed and used to save the world turned out to be nothing in the end.

It felt as if the author actually loathed Moss, as well as some of the other characters, and just wanted to be done with writing them. Moss’ transition from hero trying to save the world to antihero who must be killed at the end was poorly written, and not very compelling . By the end I didn’t even care if he lived or died, I just wanted it to end.

This finale soured me not only on the series, but I’m also unlikely to try anything else by the author, for fear of him abandoning the characters at the end again.

Insufferable characters once again

The grating characters of the main crew ultimately tarnished anything else interesting about this series.
