I loved the characters with their wonderful, colorful personality and traits. no one perfect but real.

As good as I remember

Read this years ago and decided to buy the audiobook and it's even better. Voice performance was great. her male voices were excellent. And of course Derek has always has my heart.

Better than the first in the series

Good to see the redemption of Derek Craven in this volume. A good read, worth a credit.

Excellent series

I have a deep love for all of Lisa Kleypas books and this is definitely favorite of mine. I love the first book in the series a little bit more but that’s because Lily and Alex are so much fun. I love that they play a decent role in this book too.

Derek is a man who has never known love so he’s spent his life playing hard to protect himself. Sara is sweet and independent and sees his soul from the beginning. Their love is true and Lisa does am amazing job of slowly getting Derek to give on to his emotions and experience love for the first time in his life.

Rosalyn Landor is so amazing that you forget you are listening to one narrator and not a bunch of different characters. She’s that good or I should say magnificent!

Wonderful Series!

I enjoy all of Lisa’s Kleypas Regency Novels. Rosa Landor is another favorite narrator.

another beautiful love story

I read some of these reviews and I think we must be talking about different stories. These are beautiful perfectly flawed people finding love. The sex scenes are done well, not gaudy in any way, but romantic and show the passion they feel for each other. Think some of you should get a subscription purely thru Harlequin or Hallmark. Everyone has different tastes. but I thought this was a great series and I will archive to listen again. I have come to really enjoy this author's style of writing and like the narrator. Enjoy!

I'm Not Good Enough For You

Derrick Cravens loves Sara so much he wants to protect her even from himself. He thinks that he is not good enough for her. He understands the significance of their class differences. She is a very nice girl from the country, she writes fictional novels that deals with prostitution; she is in love with him and she wants him. She likes how he made her feel when he kissed her one time. She is excited, she proposed to him but he said no. It took a while for me to fully understand why he kept telling her no, but I finally understood the depth of his reason. In addition to their class differences, it's his own sexual needs that he is afraid of. He believes he would ruin her angelic sensibilities Well, she proved his thinking wrong, of course! This is a good story which could have been edited down a bit but I highly recommend it. Rosalyn Landor's narration is excellent as usual.

Enjoyed reading the book years ago. When I saw this was narrated by Rosalind Landor I bought it. She does all the voices so well that I get immersed in the story. I like Sara and Derick and the other characters that were so easy to like or hate! Interesting with a few twists and turns.
