Story
Seventy-five years ago, the dragons fell from the sky. We thought they were just meteorites - six terrifying explosions rang the world like a bell. When the dust settled, we went on with our lives as though nothing had happened. More than a decade later, five of the eggs hatched. The dragons that emerged were small and weak. They kept to the shadows, working in secret to persuade people to do their bidding, offering magic as payment and reward. Years passed...and still we didn't notice the evil growing in our midst.

Carl was a regular construction foreman. Not the worst, not the best, and definitely not the thinnest. Even so, he didn't deserve that heart attack! He really didn't deserve being reborn into a dog-eat-dog world as a dragon. To be fair, it’s nice to be at the top of the food chain. Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Dealing with change is hard enough, but he has enemy dragons incoming, hostile environments, and foes constantly trying to get bragging rights by taking down a dragon.

Story
Seventeen years ago, a long and bloody rebellion wracked the six united regions of the Kingdom. Now the new King wields the vast and unvanquished army of Midlan with his right hand, and with his left has granted a small group of thugs, the nobles he calls his Sovereign Five, unbridled rule over the other regions. As if this weren't bad enough, the King has also outlawed the practice of whispering - which is a problem for Kael.

Publisher's Summary
The end has come. The army of the silent ones is sweeping across the land, annihilating towns and cities, slaughtering all they encounter. In a desperate bid to save the lives of uncounted innocents, the allied forces of elf, dwarf, and human must face these savage and seemingly unstoppable warriors. But the silent ones are unlike any enemy the people of Lumnia have faced before - corrupted and made enormously strong by the vile magic of Shinzan. They do not care who is friend or who is foe. They do not feel fear or pity. And they will never stop. For the silent ones do not fight for victory. They have but one purpose - to bring death to the world.
Though Ethan's power could save many lives should he join in this fight, his path lies elsewhere. The rendezvous with destiny is at hand. He will battle Shinzan one final time. But first he must face the choice he has avoided from the moment he arrived. And that decision will determine the fate of all races...and Lumnia herself.

Story is good
It was hard not to rate the entire series in this review. I binge read it. Though a lot of lulls in the story, this book was written well. It tied up loose ends and answered questions (some you didn't have). That's why I gave it a 4 overall. The series itself is a 3 at best. I feel drained vs eager to hear more.
