Jon Erskine had made a good life for himself as one of the top forensic accounts and systems analysts in the country. He doesn't mind working with paranormal clients - after all, he's a shifter himself. However, he could do without all the slurs and derogatory comments. Not all shifters are wolves, bears, or other predators. Still, his expertise and reputation is solid, and Jon is more than capable of holding his own. That is, until Dirk Hollingsworth runs from his office.

Dirk is running out of time. He has to find out who's been stealing from his company before his father turns up for his wedding in three weeks time. Acting on the recommendation of a friend, Dirk turns to Jon, or at least thinks about it. That is, until he catches the man's scent in the doorway of his office and does a runner. Not the proudest moment for one of the proudest of all shifters, but Dirk has a responsibility to his clan and catching the tantalizing scent of a dog isn't going to change anything. Or so he thinks.

I honestly was going to pass on this one and almost stopped part of the way in, however, I am so happy I stuck it out. The end is really worth it. True love, dedication, acceptance, and honor are a few words that come to mind when recalling the story. This book was definitely a unique dragon shifter book.

I have strong feelings towards discrimination which is why I almost stopped the book but I physically couldn't due to my phone & speaker being out of my reach as I was cooking. By the time I was free and could of stopped the book it has already made a turn around.

Definitely Suggest.

I like this book and will listen to it again . I like the narration a lot it would be great if he narrated all your books. The narrator for the next book in the series was not that great. Thanks for entertaining readers.

Good book

Didn't beat me over the head with a point and had a story line. I was pleasantly surprised. I have been having a difficult time finding books on audible escape. This one was a nice change with a good story and no one whined too much.

pleasantly surprised

This is such a feel-good story. The author has written so many sweet moments—her word pictures are really fun. I always tear up at the end.

And that narrator does the dragon so wonderfully!
