Publisher's summary

The story of a boy and his man-eating dragon.

If you think it's all good deeds and stuffy politeness over at Camelot, you're wrong! Most people don't know this, but things are pretty bad right now. King Arthur's in jail, Merlin's gone missing, and there's a cruel demon in charge. Seriously! Now it's up to young Leonard, a page to a poor but kind knight, to set things right - even if that means going on a dangerous quest, outsmarting hungry monsters, or risking his life to make friends with a bunch of grumpy dragons. Filled with magic, dragons, and irreverent humor, Dragonfriend is an epic YA Arthurian fantasy novel in the spirit of The Princess Bride, The Sword in the Stone, and Excalibur.

If you like Dragons...

Aimed at young listeners who love to visit a fantasy world of dragons, monsters and a whole bunch of troublesome creatures but the young hero prevails and it all works out in the end. Bad guys are done away with and dragons are saved and all ends happily ever after. Loved the crabby dragons and the pace of adventures is steady and satisfying. Love the production in terms of characters but the high pitched cutting edge of some of the young voices are a tad irritating.

it seems to aim at that younger audience but like any good adventure, story with heroes and dragons, it's fun for adults too.

A delightful romp for all ages

Roger Eschbacher’s text jumps with adventure and wonderful characters. With the charm of C.S. Lewis writing William Goldman, Eschbacher crafts a cunning, heart warming tale of odd friends who take on doing the right things when the proper heroes have been incapacitated.

Gaglini’s narration is fun to listen to and full of colorful, distinct characters. A perfect marriage of narrator and book. Your kids will love this title and you’ll enjoy the journey listening along with them.

A fast pace dragon adventure

It's a great adventure story. Lots of twists and turns that surprises you. The action never stops for too long. The narration is fun and upbeat. I enjoyed the whole book. The personality that Eschbacher gives to the characters and even to the dragons and monsters are quite funny.

A fantastic adventure of a boy and his dragon.

This is a fabulous story that brings to life the adventurous story of a young boy named Leonard who befriends a dangerous talking dragon.
It contains a beautiful cast of characters and events that are tailor made for cinema!
Their adventure is not the stuff of little children's books. This is for the big kids and up and does not hold back on
the violent thrills that unfold during their quest.
It has a great wry sense of humor and is a very fast paced story.
It is currently under consideration for a major motion picture and rightly so, as it will make a fantastic film
franchise.
This book is a modern classic!!!!!!!!!!!!
