Dragon Riders of Ragond: Nine Book World Boxset

I really love the Dragon Riders of Ragond series! The stories in these nine (9) audiobooks are fascinating and engaging.
The boxset contains 3 trilogies, nine books total:
• Ragond’s Portal War trilogy - Dragon Link, Dragon Rebellion, Dragon Alliance
• Reaping of Ragond trilogy - Dragon’s Fate, Dragon’s Power, Dragon’s Hero
• Ragond’s Witch Hunter trilogy - Dragon’s Mate, Dragon’s Protector, Dragon’s Realm
The characters are well-developed and the story is interesting. Earth born Nova and her best friend Zephyr (Ragond’s Portal War) are realistic, interesting and lovable. - Kira (Reaping of Ragond) is looking for the cure for a dragon sickness. - Yanna (Ragond’s Witch Hunter) must try to save Ragond and Earth when a dissonant timeslip threatens them both.
The stories are well-written and easy to understand even though the magical world of Ragond is not like earth the people are very human. They are all enjoyable reads with lots of action, interesting story lines and delightful characters that will hook you and keep you reading.
Ava Richardson has a lot of writing skill and a wonderful imagination you cannot go wrong with her books. She creates lovable characters and intricate worlds. This audiobook boxset is narrated by Rebekah Nemethy who does a wonderful job. Ava has definitely moved to my favorite authors list.

Fantastic book

The continuity of the books in the series was spot on. Very enjoyable, suspenseful, never a dull moment.

Can't put it down!

I was hesitant at first because it didn't really feel like a young adult novel, but after several chapters I became hooked and couldn' stop listening. I wish Nova's story continued after the first 3 books, but in the next 2 trilogies, characters from the first trilogy pop up.

The narrator did an incredible job with all of the different voices. I look forward to reading more books from this author.

Plot development was masterful

Intriguing story line and very talented reader. It was easy to identify which character was speaking as she changed characters and voices.

I love the value

Books were interesting and easy to listen to. I enjoy the mystical theme. I also enjoy the real speech. I avoid and will not purchase the virtual voice book.

Ridiculous Plot Armour

Is there some reason Yanna can't ever seem to use her mage powers? Every Single Time she's in a bind she's all "oh my gosh, what do I do?" then she gets her head knocked in.
Every things her fault, so she constantly has to try to sacrifice herself and making everything worse.
But don't use magic, unless it's an involuntary reaction to a near death experience. Never mind she's been living at a mage school for half a year and seems to be prodigy of sorts. Ridiculous.
And what she chooses to relay in times of danger isn't pertinent information, it's that she feels responsible for everything and must therefore sacrifice herself.
It's a recurring theme across the Mage Trilogy

3 fantastic stories to one great climax!

This is a very good trilogy but it’s a practice in patience as well. You’ll enjoy every book but you can also feel it building to that big finale and waiting for it made me anxious. All the characters that you get to know in the first books will be seen again. I see potential for continuing the series and I’d be glad to see it.

This series was fun, whimsical and leading you the next book. I loved that each book brought in the other books.
