Publisher's Summary

'I swear by the stars that you and the others slain tonight will be the first of many. Of that you have my word.'

With Aven Dalmarta now hiding in the shadows of Meya, Alex is desperate to save Jordan and keep the Rebel Prince from taking more lives. Training day and night to master the enhanced immortal blood in her veins, Alex undertakes a dangerous Meyarin warrior trial that separates her from those she loves and leaves her stranded in a place where nothing is as it should be.

As friends become enemies and enemies become friends, Alex must decide who to trust as powerful new allies - and adversaries - push her towards a future of either light...or darkness.

One way or another, the world will change....

Strong and captivating

A very strong and captivating novel that had me engaged most of the way through. The first few chapters seems weaker, but then as reader/listener your hurtling through a range of emotions until the very end. Fabulous performance by Carly Robins means a clear projection of Ms Noni’s novel.

Engaging but a let-down in parts

As the story-line of The Madoran Chronicles progresses the Author seems to make more exceptions to logic - sometimes to help things link up but sometimes for no apparent reason at all. It’s like those annoying parts in movies where continuity gets stuffed up.
There are also the times when anyone with even one half of a single neurone would make a connection or notice something...but Alex, supposedly a sane and reasonably smart girl, seems to miss the connection until whoops...it’s too late.
Some of these are critical points in the storyline and thus rather annoying! I don’t like reading books where the main character is annoyingly stupid.
Having said that, luckily Alex has enough character to identify with and look past the unnecessary “blonde” moments.
Characters continue to develop and the time twist that takes up most of the Draekora chronicle provides a clever spin.

Glad the sequel is ready

Great narration by Carly Robins - hope they give her some other fantasy/sci-fi series on-par or better in writing quality. the story threatens to retread Eragon at times, but the time-travel & maturing lead character keeps things interesting.
