The drought on Hank’s ranch has finally ended, and it’s a beautiful spring day. However, that’s exactly what happens when Miss Viola asks Slim and Hank to help Woodrow haul a cow to the veterinarian. And, what begins as a simple job soon turns into a circus when the cow proves to be a little more clever than anyone anticipated. Will Hank be able to save day, or is he destined to be shishkabobbed by a raging heifer?

I think hank rely showed how much he cared for miss viola in this story

however I don't like how long the beginning takes. I felt like it was just a little to slow and Evan slightly boring but other than that I rely liked it :)

I love this book so much I know I always say that but I just love hank the cowdog so much can’t wait to listen to the next one!!!

Good story, but compared to older Hank books this one seems sub par

While I normally love the Hank stories, a few of the more recent ones have been sub par.

It has been a troupe throughout the entire series that Hank gets caught up in irrelevant tangents, mispronouncing words, etc, but here the author takes this to an extreme.
There are times where that provides great humor, but after a while it just gets annoying. I eventually want to hear what happens, not listen to Hank go on about bones and mis pronouncing words.

All in all, good story but go listen to the older ones from around twenty years ago and you’ll see what I mean.

Dealing with the heifer

i have listened or read all of the Hank The Cowdog books. This one is just as great as the others. They all make me laugh!
