Are you exhausted from pretending to be happy in a world that doesn’t want you to talk about real issues? Are you fed up with people who insist you should be grateful, positive, or civil? Do you want to speak openly about crucial topics that need to be faced right now?
Don’t Tell Me to Calm Down is a resource for those who want to feel all their feelings, speak their truth, claim their boundaries, and advocate for issues that matter to them.
In this book, you will learn how to:
- Examine your feelings to discover what you truly want
- Manage your emotions to support your next steps
- Control your thoughts to find peace and productivity
- Focus your message to be more clear and effective
Don’t Tell Me to Calm Down is an invitation to free your voice, reclaim who you are meant to be, and successfully guide your relationships, especially the one with yourself.

Dee was lucky to have had such a friend helping her transition. Yiz kinda' wonder if those highschoolers in that program were learning how a successful entrepreneur / (ninja) business woman manages a troglodyte pulling a stunt like that. Makes a person ask themselves; how many walked away with the blueprints for self-confidence after witnessing your verbal Akido on that stage? Did any of them start carrying themselves a little different after absorbing that? Did it cause any in the audience that next day/week/month /year to maybe look a little differently at themselves or their futures through this gained insight? Did it give any of them an archetype from which to start imagining their own place and way in the world? Did they carry this impact into the military, domesticity, workplace, college, clergy, life? Did it have a similar effect on those with whom they came into contact in life, and them on others? That feels like a whole lotta people's lives whom your presentation touched.
Wow, no wonder they asked if you'd speak to the kids at that event. Great listen, I sent a copy to all of my sisters and got one for my daughter too. Thanks for writing this!
