Now a major motion picture from Impractical Studios and Redline Entertainment starring Lyndsy Fonseca, Russell “Russ” Vitale, Hunter King, Joseph Lee Anderson, Rob Riggle, and Tom Cavanagh!

In this spine-tingling horror novel from James “Murr” Murray of Impractical Jokers and cowriter Darren Wearmouth, a prehistoric arachnid stalks a stranded group of campers in a West Virginia canyon.

Megan Forrester has barely survived the unthinkable. Six months ago, she witnessed a horrific accident that killed her husband and son, and lives with the guilt of knowing she could have done more to save them. Now, Megan hopes to mend the pieces of her broken spirit by attending a local church group’s annual camping trip. But the church group members—riddled with dark secrets of their own—make a catastrophic navigational mistake, leaving them stranded in an untouched canyon in the West Virginian national forest.

Isolated from any chance of help or rescue, Megan and the others quickly realize why this side of the canyon has never been surveyed by humankind: it’s home to a terrifying prehistoric arachnid that patiently hunts its prey through even the slightest movement or vibration in the forest. And it’s desperate for a meal.

Grief-stricken and haunted by her tragic loss, Megan now faces her ultimate test of endurance. Can she outwit a bloodthirsty creature hellbent on ensuring that no one gets out alive? When a single wrong turn can mean death, she only has one option: DON’T MOVE.

Reseñas de la Crítica

“James Murray and Darren Wearmouth’s latest, Don’t Move, is a lean, cut-throated horror show, written with scenes so cinematic that they blaze across the brain. I read it in one sitting, obeying the title’s directive, and staying glued to my chair. Spine-tingling and wildly paced, here is your next must-read.”

“What’s scarier than a wilderness camping trip gone wrong? How about a camping trip with a living horror-movie creature waiting for its dinner? These guys pulled out all the stops with this one. Shuddering good fun!”

“Afraid of spiders? Don’t read this book. I mean it. Walk away now.”

“What’s scarier than a thousand spiders in a canyon? One big one trying to eat its way out.”

“A gleeful creature feature…Murray and Wearmouth succeed at creating a creepy atmosphere.”

“The prose is tight and speedy, delivering the sort of visceral charge familiar to fans of the paperback horror boom of the late ’90s and early 2000s and writers like Brian Keene. Recommended for horror fans or for anyone looking for a fast-paced, diverting, and gruesome read.”

“A fun, thrilling, horror-filled ride. Sometimes that is exactly what you are looking for. As if I didn’t hate spiders enough. I highly recommend it if you enjoy creature horror stories. You might think twice about camping in an unknown region.”

Don’t Move brought me back to the childhood movies I would devour when I was young…If you like movies such as Arachnophobia, this book will be a total blast for you! A thrilling read with a fun ending—highly recommended!”

This has been one of my favorite books for a long time and I had to listen to it in prep for the upcoming movie. The atmosphere is spectacular and the critter even more so.

The cast of characters is interesting enough and kind of stereotypical but enjoyable all the same. The way the story progresses always keeps me entranced especially after the character introductions.

Thru the whole book his voice was the same. Overly excited. Even during the calm parts.

Horrible reader

This was a 4.25 🌟 read for me.

First let me just say this, I hate spiders🕷️, but being a single person, I have to take care of them by myself. However, I put this on my TBR due to a sneak peak of the movie trailer I got when I attended Russ Into The Wild concert this past summer. If you’re not a fan of his, you need to be, multi-talented and an awesome human! But I digress.

The start of this book is something out of final destination and it just doesn’t let up. This is how I will forever take in my thriller/horror movies from now on lmao. I’m made that it ended the way that it did and it warrants a second a book. But I will most definitely be checking the movie out, during the day with “that man” so I can drown it out with adult activities later 🤣.

It gives you everything you expect for a horror/thriller, especially the character you want to die. Highly recommend for a great break from your usual reading.

Captivating and another reason to not go camping 🤣

If you need to escape reality, and get lost in a world of fear and triumph, this is a story for you! The book has a great pace, digging right into the main plot while connecting you to the characters as well. Each chapter reels you in making it feel like you’re a part of the group and experiencing the horrors. Along side them. Having a arachnophobia intensifies this story which adds up to a wild ride. Sit back and enjoy the story taking away lessons we can use every day in our lives and knowing sometimes there’s always hope even when it seems lost.

A must read
