The chilling novella featured in Stephen King’s New York Times bestselling collection Full Dark, No Stars, 1922 is about a man who succumbs to the violence within—setting in motion a grisly train of murder and madness.

Wilfred James owns eighty acres of farmland in Nebraska that have been in his family for generations. His wife, Arlette, owns an adjoining one hundred acres. She wants to sell her land but if she does, Wilfred will be forced to sell as well. James will do anything to hold onto his farm, and he'll get his son to go along.

Betrayal, murder, madness, rats, 1922 is a breathtaking exploration into the dark side of human nature from the great American storyteller Stephen King.

I couldn’t stop listening! Love the narration - I felt like the narrator was the actual character, telling me what had happened. Well written. Well narrated.

Grisly but compelling

This book is absolutely brilliant! Stephen King it can give life to so many different worlds, it's crazy! My warning to some readers is that, though a lot of his stories can be intense and graphic, this particular story definitely has more of a root in reality then most. That said, is absolutely brilliant!
The narration was spot-on and I wouldn't change anything about presentation.

Intense ... not for all readers!!?

Stephen King is a brilliant storyteller. In high school I would sit in class with one of his books in a textbook and read. The story content was interesting and spectacular. I will look to Netflix and see if I can find the series because it would be nice to have a visual.

Brilliant as usual

I almost wanted Henry to die. The narrator gave him such an irritating and whiney voice.

Poor narrating

Craig Wasson did excellent job of narration. This book helps illuminate the the dark parts if the humankind.

Love the story, think it is absolutely fantastic. That being said, I do not care for the performance of the Hank as it seems the reader has confused a boy of 14 that would have a cracking voice with a high pitched 9 year old. Still, i would rate this a 4 out of 5 stars

Great story, acceptable performance

I understand why the reader of the book might not be for everybody, but I thought he did a great job of distinguishing the male voices so you could always understand who was talking. I didn’t find the women’s voices grating and thought Arlette was suitably played. Great story too! Highly recommend.

The reader’s voice is fine
