Solid Meh

Great narration but the story fell flat for me. I don’t know if it was because there were so many characters, but the character development was absolutely not what I’m used to with Lisa Jewell. Everything felt very superficial. Disappointing because it’s stupid how often I check back to see when her next book is available.

What is wrong with these women?

I am a Lisa Jewell fan, but
had to suspend disbelief
while trying to get through this long story. It was predictable and portrayed women as being so lovestruck that they denied evidence that this man was evil.

Not my favorite LJ book

Not a lot of twists, and sometimes the story dragged. I prefer her other books.

Great book hard to put down

I’m going 4 stars because it took me too long to understand who was who
I think if there were more differences with the women’s voices it would have been spectacular

Loved the concept and top notch narration

I really loved following along to put all of the pieces together and found myself shaking my head at “how the F is he getting away with this” moments. Narrators were amazing! I’ve been a fan of Lisa Jewell books and this one did not disappoint!

Al can seriously juggle

I love a good easy listen with a twist! Honestly impressed at how many things that man could juggle at a time! I love that by the very end, most questions are answered despite the twist! I do like a nice and tidy ending. Even though the twist comes early, it’s so twisted into enough things that it takes you on a ride until the end!

The story line kept me guessing

There was not that a lot that I disliked about this book, but I loved the way it skipped around, but kept me understanding where we were in time! And I also love that he got his in the end

Great story! The characters were well developed. I couldn’t stop listening! Highly recommend to new and old Lisa Jewell fans.

Don't let him confuse you

I was utterly confused for 75% of the book so I went online to find a summary to help keep me straight with all the characters. The last 25% was very good but I had the ending pegged and knew exactly what would happen. I recommend, but be patient and pay close attention.

The twist and turn.

This is the second book I have listened to by Lisa Jewell and LOVED it also. She is gaining rank on my list of ❤️ed authors. GREAT read.
