PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT Ending to this awesome series! With the crazy cliffy ending in book 4 I was dying for book 5 (I only had to wait about 12 hours but that was 11:59 to long). I needed to see Gareth get his HEA and boy did he! This book made me cry, made me laugh and made my heart soar! I especially had a huge soft spot for Gareth's relationship with Sophia. The best thing about this series was the family closeness for me. After 5 books it kind of feels like I was part of the family and not that it's over I'm heart broken but only because I will miss them. Amy Daws gave us closure for each member of the family and every got a HEA of sorts. It couldn't have ended any other way in my eyes. I'm left feeling a little sad but really very happy hearted and so satisfied.

The narration was also perfect. I loved all 3 narrators and I especially loved that with the female lead being american a new narrator was brought in but the original female narrator also stayed on to keep the voices the same for the previous characters. Simply brilliant!!

AMAZING!!

When is too soon to re-binge an entire series? Because it won’t be long before I dive back into the Harris Brother world from the beginning and read them all over again. I feel like they are my family and I will miss them and this world so greatly.

I was anxious for Gareth’s story from the minute I met him. I was even more anxious for the ending of the Harris’ family story. I’m so grateful that this ending was more than I could have imagined!

The titles of this duet, Dominate and Surrender, mean so much which you’ll realize as you read the story. This book picks up right where book one in the duet, leaves off. I was dying after finishing the first book and I couldn’t pick this one up fast enough when I noticed it had hit my kindle! It was amazing! I loved every single part of this conclusion.

While this is a wonderful conclusion to Sloane and Gareth’s love story, this book is so much more for those of us who have read and fallen in love with the Harris family. This book, encompasses the entire family and Amy did a beautiful job in giving us closure with every family member as well as each character we’ve met, and maybe even hated a little bit along the way.

Read, or listen to, this duet. Read this series. You WON’T regret it.

I can’t get enough of Will Watt and Piper Goodeve narrating this duet! They do such an amazing job that I will definitely be re-listening to this in the near future. It’s such a treat to have Charlotte Cole narrate the British ladies as well! They brought this characters to life in an absolutely brilliant way!

Note: You must read Surrender, before diving into this book. However, you don’t need to read the rest of the series to enjoy this duet. I highly recommend you to read the whole series though! These Harris Brothers are everything!

This Was Emotional In More Ways Than One

I read and reviewed this last Harris Brothers book but even though I knew this was the end it was not going to stop me from listening to this story. There was no way that having listened to the previous four books that I was going to miss the chance in getting to experiencing this family one last time. I have come to enjoy these voice actors telling me the latest tale of a family I will always equate with the sport of soccer - excuse me, football.

One thing that I picked up on not too far into the story is that this was going to be the most emotional - I like it when I know I'm right. Having Mr. Watt, Ms. Goodeve, and Ms. Cole telling me the story added to that emotion. This is an emotional story anyway but having someone read it to you increases that level of emotion. I was at work while I was getting toward the end and I had a few tears in the corner of my eye and wouldn't you know that I didn't have a tissue on me at the time.

This is one thing that our author is good at. Her words have an effect on you. One way or another those words will touch your heart. The family she has so lovingly created will also touch your heart. In a way it's hard to give them up but every time I see a football game I will expect to hear the word Harris. I'm also glad because I can listen to this family's story again any time I choose. But I'll also be glad to listen to anything this author has created as well as finding out what else these actors have put a voice to. And if I ever see their names along with Ms. Daws, I know I'm in for a great time.

I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.

A Beautiful End

What a lovely, heartwarming end for the Harris family. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the family dynamic in this final book. The Harris clan was always one of the big focal points in the series, and I’m happy it was explored. It was very emotional, and everything I didn’t know I needed.
Gareth and Sloan were a beautiful pair with ups and downs. I loved how they were there for one another during their most crucial moments. It’s not always easy, but they work through it rather quickly.
Piper Goodeve, whose narration I struggle with in the first book, seemed to have improved her narration style in this second book. Perhaps it was Sloan’s growth that just made her more likable this time around. Either way, the narration, overall, was on point. Will Watt and Charlotte Cole were great as always.

This book is drawn out in the best way possible. I feel like everything gets acknowledge, processed, and discussed. It’s a very mature and realistic story in that way. The emotion that is invoked and expelled throughout makes this such a poignant read.
I’m certainly going to miss this family, but I’m sure Amy Daws will create another exciting series soon enough.

A wonderful conclusion to The Harris Brothers.

The narrators off this book conveyed every emotion; love, loss, hope, happiness, and closure to a t. Learning to navigate a new relationship is difficult for everyone, but it becomes infinitely harder when a child is involved. I feel in love with Sophia and Gareth has the softest heart, due, no doubt, to his childhood. The relationship between Gareth and Vaughn was a rocky one, but was dealt with in a realistic way. While I loved this book, it is bittersweet because it is the last in this wonderful series. Maybe Amy will write some holiday books or give Vaughn a book (either about him and Vilma, or a new love) hint hint.

Love this conclusion to the duet!

Wow! What an ending to such a fantastic series. It was everything I hoped it would be. Thank goodness the cliffhanger from Surrender was resolved at the beginning of Dominate. I could finally breathe! This book was all about family, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I couldn't think of a better ending and the epilogue was just a cherry on top- my heart got all warm and squishy from all the happiness! Gareth's duet is a must read, and both Surrender and Dominate have earned a place on my Best of 2018 list!

I was so glad to see the audio book was done duet style! Duet is my favorite style of audiobook as well- and Will Watt and Piper Goodeve knock it out of the park! It was nice to have Charlotte Cole do the British females- I adore her voice as well.

If you aren't familiar with duet narration, here's a quick definition of the two different styles of multiple character narrations.

Duet narration = narrators alternating reading the male and female parts in a chapter.
Dual narration = narrators reading entire POV chapters

5 Gareth Gets His HEA Stars!!!

Just like Surrender I read Dominate prior to listening to the magnificence of Mr. Watt, Ms. Goodeve and Ms. Cole's narration. I KNEW what was going to happen, nonetheless there were main times in this audiobook that I shed more than a few tears. Having certain scenes brought to life via the narration just about broke me. There isn't anything about this book or audiobook that I didn't love...

This book is EVERYTHING I wanted for Gareth and the Harris Clan. I love how the storylines are all melded together and bringing resolution/closure/completion for so many things in their lives.

I love how Gareth loves Sloan and Sophia. It's beautiful in its intensity and truthfulness and pureness. The heat between Sloan and Gareth is OFF THE EFFING CHARTS HOT!!! their give and take in the bedroom is a true partnership. Letting Sloan have some of the control is really quite alpha of him because he knows it's what she needs given everything that went on with the rest of her life.

This duet is by far my favorite of ANY books you've written. You've done Gareth proud!!!

Absolutely loved this book.

Amy Daws is now one of my favorite authors. The entire Harris Brothers series was very entertaining. From the store line to the narrators I have not one negative thing to say. I started with Harris Brothers series, now I will go back and start the London Lovers series.

A great end

I am so glad I got to listen to this second part of Gareth and Sloan's story. I thought the progression in the relationship was great they became such a great couple. I thought Gareth and Sophia had a great bond and she deserved to get a proper father. I liked the story of Gareth and his father I found it very touching. This was such a great story and my first of the Harris brothers. I have the first book in my library and will start it ASAP. Will Watt was amazing he does a great London accent and made Gareth feel so real. Piper Goodeve has such a great voice and she tells a story so well, I loved Charlotte Cole she is just an amazing story teller and very funny. A great story you would be crazy not to listen.x

Be Dominated by Gareth and Sloan

What a way to end a series! Now, I'm in a book slump! I feel like I'll never find another great series So, yeah! Thanks for that, Amy! This book delves deeper into the family dynamics, the relationship between Gareth and his father, his mother & tackling all the unanswered question from Surrender, whilst Gareth and Sloan's relationship deepens, changes, and takes a different turn! I loved it so much! I did this audiobook in one sitting because I NEEDED to know! Once again, we have great performances from Will Watt, Piper Goodeve & Charlotte Cole. Brilliantly funny and heartwarming writing from Amy Daws. Fortunately, I started the series from book three, so good for me! Yay me, for my mistake! I can go back and start at the beginning! Life is good! 5 * all the way!

fantastic end to the series

I couldn't wait to listen to this after the cliff hanger in the previous book, and it did not disappoint I was so happy Gareth got his story but really sad that's the end of this series.
I loved how Sloane and her daughter interact with the Harris family They are such a loving family even Vaughan was trying to become more involved with his family.
the narration by Will Watt was once again great

All the happy tears! An absolutely perfect ending!

Perfection. A perfect ending to an utterly brilliant series. God, I can’t remember the last book where I’ve cried this much. The first half or so it was “just” choking up and becoming teary-eyed here and there, but shortly after that the dam seemed to have broken and I was a constant blubbering, sobbing mess, so happy – yes, these were happy tears! – how it all turned out. To see the family reunite and spend time and celebrate being a family, to enjoy that insane banter and bickering between the brothers (god, I’m going to miss these boys!), to hear that speech that Gareth gave before one extremely important game that somehow included all titles of the series and yet couldn’t have been more accurate – I had goosebumps during that part, a diversion from the endless tears… I cannot say enough beautiful things about this final instalment. I was a mess after this one, emotionally wrung dry in a thoroughly positive sense.

I loved how we got more insight about the brother who has been a mystery through most of the series, to see him opening up and finding his own long overdue happiness… And just the overall family closeness we got to experience this time around. It all left me utterly happy and satisfied and yet utterly heartbroken all at once. Seeing this family go truly isn’t an easy feat. This heartfelt, magnificent story brings us exactly that ending we didn’t know we needed.

There were two characters which made the story even more precious: Sophia, Sloan’s wonderful daughter – especially with her relationship to Gareth – and, as hard as it is to believe, Vaughn, the father of the Harris siblings. As much wrong as he did over all the years, as much as he robbed Gareth of a real childhood, this muchly needed instalment enabled me to see him in a totally different light as well.

Now to the narration. If the story in itself didn’t pack enough of an emotional punch already, the cast of narrators magnified it all a thousand fold. The raw emotion in Piper Goodeve’s and Will M. Watt’s voices were beyond stellar – especially also Mr. Watt’s heartbreaking narration of eight-year-old Gareth. I think it’s safe to say he’s my absolute favorite male narrator. Another highlight of this duet within the series is the special appearance by Charlotte Cole, who joined the duo to give voices to the female British voices like she did in the previous books.

Seriously, this is one of my top favorite audio books of this year – if not ever.

Oh man!!!!
Gareth has just ruined me 😩😩
I bloody love him & his story with Sloan

I definitely swooned like a mofo I may have shed a few tears 😭 😩

But it was worth it, every last second.
They took the ball and they bloody ran with it, in life when choices have to be made never assume never think you know what’s going on in someone’s mind, thoughts aren’t the same as wanting and when you can dominate, be proud and be present and go for it! use that to your advantage!!
Especially when there’s a Harris brother at the end of it ⚽️

Amy I’m loving this series, now to go back to the start and catch up with the rest of them ;)

So good

This is the conclusion of Gareth and Sloane story after Surrender ended on a cliffhanger this Dominate starts from here. This book was just as good as the first and had me crying happy and sad tears. In this we see their relationship develop and more of the Harris family. Again I loved how this was narrated and these two books are up there with my favourite audiobooks books. I am now an Amy Daws fan and will be reading / listening to the rest of her books.

Sheer perfection in writing AND narration!

I can’t believe this series is over. But if it has to be over, the writing and narration team have left us with a masterpiece!! Gareth is definitely my favorite Harris Brother (and that is not an easy choice to make)! I will definitely listen to the whole series many times!! 👍
