Publisher's summary

A new model for productive teamwork that generates wealth. From instincts as ancient as our hunter and gatherer stages, men and women have worked in teams. But what have we really learned about these drives and desires in a lasting way? Does all of the selfishness and scandal in business and government today suggest we have spilt the special sauce of teamwork? Doing More With Teams explores what can be done to encourage a new form of competition so that organizations complete the challenges before them to drive growth and get results. From New York Times bestselling author, Bruce Piasecki offers new grounds for the idea of teamwork, and challenges the perception that individualism is the only way to wealth. Lays out a solid set of principles that work in all kinds of teams. Doing More With Teams enlightens the world to a new, more ethical, more collaborative way forward.

An aptly timed handbook for CEOs

Where does Doing More with Teams rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Doing More With Teams is among the business savvy guides that aren't typically on my listening/reading list. But, I was encouraged to give it a listen in my professional life. It has changed my perspective on how to more effectively create a team dynamic and why group efforts and group mindsets are so powerful in the business world. The "shared value" approach visited in Piasecki's other books is a pervasive theme here, and will build a strong front once adopted by project managers, CEOs and leaders in any industry looking for the efficient, effective way to reach a goal.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Especially appreciate the reference to sports and the military - two unlikely industries for businesses to look to when considering a paradigm shift in leadership.

What about LJ Ganser’s performance did you like?

Mr. Gnaser adopts & delivers Piasecki's wit and wisdom easily.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed .... a few times. There is some brutal honesty as the author reflects on personal moments that worked or did not work in his professional life. As the CEO of a management consulting company, Piasecki is full of real world examples that endear the reader to him.

Any additional comments?

Definitely recommend. A non-high-brow approach makes this book an easy and quick read with messages that are timeless and relevant and which will stick for real world application.
