Story
Four exciting novelisations. In The Mysterious Planet, the Doctor is brought before the court of his fellow Time Lords. In Mindwarp, the second piece of evidence against the Doctor is presented to the court. One thing is certain: on the evidence of the Matrix, the Doctor is guilty as charged! In Terror of the Vervoids, the Matrix relates how the Doctor and Mel arrive on a space liner just as a series of grisly murders begins. In The Ultimate Foe, the Doctor asserts that the evidence of the Matrix has been tampered with.

Two excellent stories justify the purchase
I've listened to a fair few Dr.Who novelisations and was very pleased to rank two stories from this collection in my top five. Frontios is a great piece of Sci-fi in its own right and makes for a great DW adventure, well read too. The Curse of Fenric is the clear standout with my only criticism being there's possibly too much going on, enough plot to drive two other stories! That's not a problem as all the factors and subplots are brilliantly brought together.
Of the other three, the Carnival of Monsters is the weakest. A decent enough premise spoiled for me by clichéd characters and sadly I didn't get on with Katy Manning's style of narration. One place above that comes the Sontaran Experiment. A rare miss for John Culshaw, I've enjoyed many of his other outings. He wasn't helped by a fairly thin plot. Full Circle places between the two hits and two misses and is the third of the set that I'll be revisiting in future.

Great
Great to have the chapter titles included and the stories split up so you can differentiate between tracks. Good work
