Resumen del Editor

The Doctor ventures into alternative dimensions in these four exciting novelisations of TV stories.

In The Mind Robber, by Peter Ling, the Second Doctor, Jamie and Zoe land in a world populated by storybook characters - but who, or what, lurks behind the fiction?

In The Invisible Enemy, by Terrance Dicks, the Fourth Doctor and Leela make a terrifying journey into the Time Lord's own brain in order to confront the Nucleus of the Swarm.

Warriors' Gate, by Stephen Gallagher, is the destination at the ethereal intersection between universes for the Fourth Doctor, Romana, Adric and K9, and in Twice Upon a Time, by Paul Cornell, it's a case of déjà vu for the First and Twelfth Doctors when they meet by chance in a strange yet familiar No Man's Land.

Derek Jacobi, John Leeson, Jon Culshaw and Mark Gatiss read these stories of adventure in weird worlds.

Great Collection

The Mind Robber:
I ended up really liking this one. It was a very Doctor Who episode. I love the premise of the story. Doctor, Jaime, and Zoe having to deal with a lot of storybook and mythological characters definitely made for an interesting read. I would love to see this episode.

The Invisible Enemy:
As much as I love Leela and the 4th Doctor as a duo I have never really enjoyed this episode. The book is a little better, but the plot still drags. The best part is when the Doctor and Leela have to go into the Doctor's brain unfortunately that part is really short.

Warrior's Gate:
I only have vague memories of this series. So, listening to the audiobook it was almost a brand-new story for me. I found the premise of the alternate universe to be interesting and I liked how both Romana and Adric played full roles in the story.

Twice Upon a Time:
I dearly wish the Doctor and Bill would have had more than one season. They are such a great duo. I quite enjoyed this special when it aired and getting to read the novelization of it was a delight. I think the 12th Doctor has one of the better ending regeneration scenes, his final speech always makes me tear up. All in all, a great story whether on television or in print.

All in all, a great collection of stories!
