Fun serious light and a good read

Read twice. Good time. Love the small town and every character seemed very real. Nicely Canadian.

narration ruined an otherwise okay story

the Cassie chapters are fun and learning the town was interesting and unique. however the complete inability of narrator to change voices meant I never knew when I rolled over into a Melanie chapter. the romance was wholly unnecessary to the central mystery and could have been left out with no real.impact on the story

A perfect summer get away to the most romantic place in northern Ontario

Look, I love Tanya Huff. I think she writes hilarious books and occupies a world I mostly want to live in. Her heroes are good, occasionally complacent, and ridiculously competent. This fits into exactly that mode, and so if you’re a fan of the Gales or Tony Foster, you’ll feel right at home. I know I’ll be back for this again

I want more!

I loved this book. It reminded me just a bit of all my favorite things about The Enchantment Emporium. It had me hooked and staying awake far too long finishing it. The voice actor did a wonderful job. I want a sequel!

Zany and sweet

This is a wonderfully Canadian, whacky, well written, cozy, and charming story, read skillfully. The characters are quirky but loveable.
