Publisher's summary

Missing jewels, a witch's dagger, and murder.... Just a regular day at Cardinal Woolsey's Knitting and Yarn shop in Oxford.

When glamorous vampire Sylvia discovers a movie company is remaking one of her most famous silent films, she's determined to get some creative input and decides to make knitting-shop owner Lucy the beneficiary of her estate. Lucy will front for Sylvia in dealing with the movie executives who want to recreate the priceless Cartier jewels made specially for the original movie and still owned by Sylvia.

Meanwhile, Lucy's moving along in her witch's training. It's time to choose her own athame, a dagger that she'll use for spells.

With all that going on she's barely got time to run a knitting shop, never mind solve another murder.

Okay

Diamonds and Daggers was just okay. I enjoyed the plot but found Lucy annoying.

WOW! 😄

I loved every minute! I'm semi-new to the cozy mystery genre but this series so far has been a wonderful roller coaster ride that if available I'm buying the actual books because if there's ever an EMP or my Audible is forever taken from me I can still revisit these amazing stories over again, no electricity required!

Favorite cozy mystery

If you love to knit or crochet, love vampires, and also love to read cozy mysteries, this is the series for you.
You’ll get some creative inspo for patterns to try around holidays and in general and quite a few characters to fall in love with as you listen while you’re stitching away.

Some semblance

This story has some semblance of what attracted me to the first one in the series. Less predictable, less dumbing down of the main character, while still keeping some mystery alive in the story.

Interesting

Love the narration by Sarah Zimmermann. Story line keeps dragging on though there us a new murder each book and Lucy always pulled into them. Poor Rafe, asked Lucy twice to marry him and she keeps stringing him along. All they've done is kiss.

Another wonderful installment to a fantastic series!

I have really enjoyed this series and I am looking forward to the next installment. The narrator is absolutely fantastic! This is a wonderful cozy mystery series and every book in the series makes me feel as if I am sitting in with the vampire knitting club in the back room of cardinal Wollsey’s. If you’re looking for a cozy mystery series that allows you to feel as if you’re sitting with old friends and you have an interest in vampires and witches but are not necessarily looking for blood, guts, and gore than this series is for you.

Great Series, Least Favorite Book

I have really enjoyed all of the books in the series, but the storyline of this one felt the weakest to me. Agree with other reviews that Lucy came across as spineless in this one, and it got off to a slow start. Love the narrator and the other books in the series didn’t disappoint!

series has lost its luster for me

I can't deal with how unintelligent the main character is anymore. there's no arc for her. and the story here was deeply frustrating. I can't take poorly behaved characters not facing any kind of repercussion from the would be heroes of the story. I just felt infuriated the whole time.
