If you can’t beat ’em… burn it all down.

The fae royalty think I’m their toy. Their entertainment.

But I’m the only thing standing between their glittering world and the darkness waiting to consume mine.

To buy us time, Tarian enters me into the court games—a bloodsport for the bored and cruel. No allies. No protection. Just monsters wearing crowns and smiling as they watch me fall.

My odds of survival? Slim.

My resolve? Unbreakable.

They’ve always underestimated me. I exist in the shadows. I thrive there.

And when they push me too far… they’ll learn exactly what kind of carnage a cornered human can unleash.

The explosive conclusion to the Shadowbound Fae duet.

This is the highly anticipated second (and final) book of Daisy’s story. I was lucky to get an ALC and still, I stayed up to listen to it again! It delivers everything it promised and SO MUCH MORE.

K F Breene delivers some of her most exceptional work here, and in a truly delicious way. The whole family crew stars again and it’s wonderful to listen the amazing Khristine Hvam bring everyone to wild life one more time.

It’s a dark story that had me horrified, stunned, laughing out loud and sobbing along the way. In pure Breene fashion, our favorite characters are drug through the most outrageous moments and I’m here for every second of it.

Grab a drink, a stress ball and lock yourself away where no one can disturb you because once you hit play, you won’t want to do anything else.

FanFreakingTastic! The best series completion ever

Very reminiscent of the original series, demigods of San Francisco. So so good. hoping there will be more spin off series 🙏 I liked this book more than the first in this duology. I will have to listen to the first again with my suffering perspective.

So good! Must listen!

This is the second book in the series and the characters were written very well. I was so invested in the outcome I don’t want it to be over. KF Breene writes quirky lovable characters even some of the “bad” guys have redeeming qualities. I strongly recommend this book if you like romantasy and I also highly recommend the prequel series Demi gods of San Francisco. it starts with Sin and Chocolate, who doesn’t want to read it with a title like that lol. You won’t be disappointed!

Don’t let it End!!

I didn’t read Obsidian and Diamond Dust by K.F. Breene.
I survived them.
This duology is dark, sharp, and addictive in the way only a truly unhinged fae story can be. The world is ruthless. The politics are brutal. And the tension? Suffocating in the best way.
Daisy is the kind of heroine who doesn’t beg for power — she earns it. She walks into a fae world that would happily destroy her and refuses to be small, quiet, or grateful for scraps. Watching her grow without losing her bite is deeply satisfying.
And the romance? Slow-burn done right. Loaded glances. Forced proximity. Trust built under pressure. Nothing is handed over easily, which makes every moment hit harder. By Diamond Dust, the emotional stakes are just as dangerous as the physical ones.
What K.F. Breene does best here is balance:
Dark without being hollow.
Funny without breaking the tension.
Romantic without losing the plot.
I finished this duet emotionally wrecked, slightly feral, and already missing the characters.
If you like fae stories with teeth, heroines who don’t fold, and romance that feels earned — put this at the top of your TBR.

Brilliant series
