well, if you enjoyed the previous 2, you'll enjoy this one. They add a new addition to the harem, and the story progresses.

Exciting bit of Smut

I am really digging the series, I just wish it were longer Erin Bateman is just wonderful

Is this the last book?

If this is the last book, then it works out pretty well, but the series could also continue on with no problems.
Our harem group continues on to their destination and finds murderers, creeps, and also good folk along the way.
This is a great continuation of the series and an enjoyable listen.

Great story

I really see myself in stories like this, how would you survive the end of technology. EMP survival could happen any day it’s only a matter of chance. This is well written and the performance is excellent.

A Good Sequel

When it comes to a sequel, I am personally looking for everything that made the last book worth it and then some. In my opinion that is this book. The first book for this series was the first book that I had listened to by this author and the male narrator was also new to me as well. I think that the writing was solid all around. The book was a nice little story that starts at the beginning of a post-apocalyptic environment. The author appears to be relatively new. She has, as of the time of this review, 3 series going. “Desperate Times” is her longest with three books. In the about section on Amazon she states that she loves writing harem with her favorite genres being post-apocalyptic, fantasy, slice of life, sci-fi, and dark fantasy. Of the three series’ that I have listened to by this author, two are light little stories set in the opening moments of a post-apocalyptic world and the third “Dragon Estate” has a main character with an apparent terminal illness getting a second chance at life in some magically protected area with three 7-foot-tall dragon ladies. For those who are new to this series, the story basically follows 3 individuals with the main character being a gentleman author from a broken home who has found himself in a position where he can safely help out two of his friends during what appears to be the beginnings of an apocalypse. There is a parity between real life and the story with regard to the pandemic lockdowns. Obviously, considering that this story is ultimately being told in a post-apocalyptic type of world it goes beyond what we have experienced ourselves. That's not the only distinction but I don't want to spoil the story for anybody who's willing to give it a shot. As I said Zachary is a narrator that I'm not familiar with and I believe this is the first series’ where I've seen Erin Bateman work with another narrator in a dual narration format. I have greatly enjoyed her performances in the past and the surprise of having a second narrator for this project was awesome all around. Overall, I enjoyed this story as well as the performance of the narrators. I am interested in seeing how the author develops from here. Lastly, I'll just say thank you to everybody who had a hand and bringing this story to us the audible listeners.

Well done. Well narrated.  will be looking forward to the next from this author. Is worth a listen, give it a try.

Great continuation

I received this free copy in exchange for an honest review. If you've come this far you know the guist of it, I like this story because the situation is quite realistic, for an apocalypse I mean, and there is a lot of struggle that our team can push through only thanks to teamwork, some preparation, being careful, and honestly dumb luck. And this one gives you some calm but let's you thinking, what eill they have to face now. It is also very kinky, be warned. Great narration, very clear, and compliments the story well.

This was a fun series!

I really liked this series and might even go back through it when I need to just have a easy story to listen to. The relationship between them feels like it fully and truly solidified in this one. The thing that is annoying though, especially with such a drastic drop in the species… is that their family isn’t ever going to grow… no descendants… no hope with children and their children growing a clan or something. Becoming something that will help the world out of its chaos, and find a way to restore order.

But despite that, it was a fun series. It doesn’t seem like there will be anymore, at least for a while.

The narrators do a great job as well. Bateman is definitely one of my favorites. She did a great job with Anya’s accent!
The last scene ending with Anya was the best! The love there was a nice finale for it all!

Great Story

The end is insight for the MC and his party. This has been an awesome story from beginning to end. Lara X. Lust is an amazing writer as far as I'm concerned and has really out done herself with this story in my opinion. The story is a plausible possibility for a situation such as this. I'm definitely looking forward to more of what's to hopefully come.

Zachary Zaba and Erin Bateman have been an awesome narration duo for this series. I think they really compliment each others story telling and character voiceovers.
