great sequel

a great sequel. the plot hooks are decently believable for a scenario that I fear may be more likely than people think.
Erin and Zachary did a wonderful job as always

Surprisingly good!!

Not normally my cup of tea but this was really a fun adventure!! Not bad at all, looking forward to the next!!

Enjoyable listen

The journey continues through the changes in America. This really shows the worst of humanity and how a few try to make a difference and others try to just survive. Excellent series and I eagerly await the next episode. Zach Z and Erin B continue to do this tale justice.

Amazing series

It just keeps getting better and better. Apocalypse books are my go to, mix a bunch of harem girls in and it’s a winner. These books are a little short but action packed, fun and exciting. The narrators hit a home run as always.

I already purchased book three and cannot wait to start it. Lara is an amazing writer. The narration was on point. This is going to be an amazing series

Right up front before you read any further just know that I recommend this book to anybody thinking about giving it a shot. When it comes to a sequel, I am personally looking for everything that made the last book worth it and then some. In my opinion that is this book. I also try to make clear the distinction between the quality of the writing/performance of the author/narrator and my personal tastes should they differ. In this case they did not. The first book for this series was the first book that I had listened to by this author and the male narrator was also new to me as well. I think that the writing was solid all around. The book was a nice little story that starts at the beginning of the post-apocalyptic environment. The author appears to be relatively new. She has, as of the time of this review, 3 series going. Desperate times is her longest with three books and the first one is available as an audio book which is the one that I listened to. In the about section on Amazon she states that she loves writing harem with her favorite genres being post-apocalyptic, fantasy, slice of life, sci-fi, and dark fantasy. Of the two series’ that I have listened to by this author both are light little stories set in the opening moments of a post-apocalyptic world. Now we have the second out on audio and the third book is already out and available in eBook form. I'm hoping that this audio book does well enough for the team behind the story to continue to give the rest of the series the audible treatment. As I said Zachary is a narrator that I'm not familiar with and I believe this is the first series’ where I've seen Erin Bateman work with another narrator in a dual narration format. I have greatly enjoyed her performances in the past and the surprise of having a second narrator for this project was awesome all around. Overall, I enjoyed this story as well as the performance of the narrators. I am interested in seeing how the author develops from here. Lastly, I'll just say thank you to everybody who had a hand and bringing this story to us the audible listeners.

Excellent Steamy Romp

I absolutely love Erin Bateman. She is one of the best female narrators in the business and lends well to stories like this.

As for story, it goes much like you would think. continues from book 1 as they try to survive and sexy shenanigans ensue. absolutely worth the buy. I just wish it were longer

enjoyable

an enjoyable book, it is really short, however if.you enjoyed book 1 you will not be disappointed with book 2 in the series, continues the story.

Another great book by Lara X Lust. You will not be disappointed. Also the dual narration really brings the story to life.
