Holy Moly!!! Burn the sheets good!!!

If you love dirty, filthy romance, mixed with lawlessness... you have to read this book!! I don’t blush, but listening to this book, my face stayed scarlet for the majority of the time!!! Four completely CRAZY men that rule a city with iron fists meet their match in a woman that loves to swing a bat... Wow!! Loved every steamy, hot second!!

Dark romance

This is a very different, twisted, and intriguing mafia story. The characters are all so unique. Kenzo, Ryder, and Garrett were my favorites. Diesel was such a different and twisted character that I did end up liking. All the characters are well written. They are not good guys but it is hard not to like them. Especially with the way they are with Roxie. I found myself laughing out loud throughout this audible. Roxie is such a tough kick ass character. She never stops fighting the Vipers or just in general. Inthought Cornell Collins did a great job with the Vipers. I could always tell who was talking. Hollie Jackson did great job bringing Roxie to life.

ok I read the ebook and loved it!!! so had to check out the audio!!!! annnnnndddd Dannnnngggg!!! this is hawwwwwtttt and I loved it! I do recommend good ear buds though if ya out in public!!! cause daaaaaaaannnnnngggg it's fan-freaking-tastic!!!!!!💖💖💖

A-freaking-mazing

This is an amazing audiobook and is now one of my favorites! 🖤 This is a dark romance and a bit twisted. I can't wait to read more.

I am OBSESSED with this audio book! It’s truly amazing I’m not even halfway through and I’m loving every moment of it! The voices and accents are truly amazing! I’ve already this book and loved it! I’m so happy it’s on audio now!

Wack but good wack

Once you get past the fact that the set up is a little odd… man is this just fun. Crazy reminder that I am ONE hot person away from a life of crime.

Audible brought the Vipers to life

I have read this book when it just came out. It took me nearly 3 weeks to finish this monster of a book. I have loved the reverse harem story line. The story did lose its appeal to me when it turned to straight porn at the end though.
That being said, the narrative performance was out of this world!!! Cornell and Hollie did an amazing job bringing all the characters to life! I will definitely look into other books with their narration!

Unexpected

The first few chapters I honestly didn't think I was going to like this and almost sent it back. However I stuck with it longer and I'm so glad I did. This was so well written, I fell in love with all the characters and their twisted ways. It has great humor and is pretty unique from what I have read before. It is definitely a dark RH but the lead is a bad ass full of sass and I loved her. This does have a lot of violence and may not be everyone. But honestly if you like dark romance I would definitely recommend. The male narrator wasn't my favorite but he wasn't horrible and it didn't ruin the story or anything.

Very poor writing.

After seeing readers rave about this one so much, I had to see what all the hype is about for myself. It starts out like a loooooot of other books, with an FMC I feel I’ve met in a lot of other books …
Enter the MMCs and … these are watered down, personality-less versions of ‘bad boys’ and they just fall flat for me.

I spent a long time waiting for it to pick up, but it never did. It’s just extremely dull.

I was repeatedly struck by the vast amount of telling instead of showing in this book and it occurred to me that a stronger writer or editing team could’ve helped this to be a more interesting read with fewer words. There are also inconsistencies, poor grammar, overused everything, abrupt sex scenes and … there were times I thought ‘poor continuity’, but honestly, can you have poor continuity with no plot? So we’ll just say: inconsistencies.


The Vipers are supposed to be some sort of big, bad, town-running organization but seem to consist of 4 guys … another detail that just fell flat for me. (To be fair, it could be that there are more to this ‘gang’ than the 4 guys and the author’s inability to SHOW, NOT TELL just sort of caused it to get lost somewhere.)



I’m confused as to why there is so much hype surrounding this book, why it’s 600+ pages and why such poor writing flies. It certainly could be worse, and the author obviously went to the trouble of using a professional cover designer. I wish she’d used professional editors as well.

2.5 stars.
