Exciting read

The level of excitement held my interest all the way through, and I liked the character development.
I look forward to a sequel .

The characters in the story

The book grabbed my attention right from the start. I loved following the progression of the storyline and each character that was added. There’s lots of action in the book. It kept me wanting to know what will happen next. The author did a great job and I can’t wait for the second book!!

Could of been epic

Started off very strong sounded like there was a really deep story beginning, but then it felt like a different writer took over the book and just ended it

Too much whining (introspection)

The story concept was good. The implementation at times felt like a self help book more than a novel. The MC joins a military then freaks out when he kills someone. Overall there was a lot of introspection that made the story drag.

The narrator felt like he missed a lot of the emotions in the story, kind of like an AI reader. The one specific I recall is where one character is joking with another, and the narrator read it flat. The text even indicated that the character was joking.

It’s a romance

There are lots of hand to hand battles and they are in great detail. But there is also a star crossed love story. The character development is good for the few important characters. Decent but I am not reading more.

Interesting and entertaining

Deathwind by Brad Pawlowski is an excellent Sci-Fi adventure into a new galaxy that is at war. Jake Bordeaux and Bridget Bordeaux did an incredible job with the narration. Deathwind is the first book in the series War of the Harbingers and hope it’s not the last. The story is entertaining, interesting, enjoyable, dramatic, exciting, action packed, and fun. Nathan and his sister are abducted from earth, they don’t know why. When Nathan is rescued by Meraki Dominya he strikes a deal in order to rescue your sister. Will he rescue sister? Will he survive what it is to come? Will earth.earth survive? It may all come down to what Nathan and his colleagues do?

It's enjoyable but not really riveting

didn't really grasp if the dreams were supposed to be memories or premonitions or something entirely different. The supporting characters are good, but their a bit lacking in ties to the MC to make their contributions truly emotional.

This book had me hooked from the beginning.

Great story and characters. I really enjoyed the audio version of this book! I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Great first book in the trilogy!

Good fast moving story. Narrator finishes strong. Like the combination of men's and women's voices.

A great book introducing a fun new world

This book has everything a science fiction fan could hope for - a great story, relatable characters, and an immersive new world. The author clearly has a passion for this world and its characters and it shows in the attention to detail and sincerity that he puts into them. The story is fast-paced, jumps right into the action and never lets up. The narration is great. Clear and easy to follow, the voices fit the characterizations. My son and I are both looking forward to reading the sequel soon!
