Danika
I ran from my Russian father to escape an arranged marriage
and ended up handcuffed to an Italian mafia hitman … in his bed.

He’s as intensely beautiful as he is ruthless.
A dichotomy of callous yet kind that fascinates me, though I know it shouldn’t.
The man’s a killer.

But more than that, he suffers from compulsions—a need to control every aspect of his life.
And now that I’ve entered his world, I’ve become his ultimate fixation.

What to expect in Death’s Favor:

  • Neurodivergent assassin MMC
  • Artist FMC
  • He holds her prisoner
  • Forced proximity
  • Opposites attract
  • Grumpy/sunshine
  • Forced marriage
  • Burn the world for her

For those of you who are new to me, I write what I'd call "mafia lite." My heroes are hardened criminals with soft spots for their heroines. There may be violence and cruelty in my books, but never between the main characters. Enjoy!

Jill Ramsower is hands down my favorite author of all time! Her writing never disappoints! This newest story, Death’s Favor is my favorite so far in this series. I loved how relatable these characters were to me, especially Tommy with his OCD tendencies. I myself deal with OCD personally, so it was great to see attention being brought to this issue!

Danika and Tommy together were definitely made for each other. They literally were each other’s missing puzzle piece. Tommy was able to provide the safe haven Danika has always craved for herself and her family. While Danika provided Tommy with a sense of peace and calmness against his restless demons that coincided with his OCD. They both accepted each other’s quirky personalities and grew to understand each other. The spice and tension between these two was literal perfection without being over the top!

For the audiobook, Maeve York and CJ Mission did an amazing job bringing the intensity, fire, and banter to life. Each narrator was able to make the characters personalities sound very authentic and stay true to who they are in this story! I look forward to listening to more of these two in the future!

Favorite of the Series!

I started reading this soon after it was released but stopped a few chapters in and I finally just went back to it. I am glad that I did. I really love the way Jill writes her stories and the characters. Even though this was not a favorite, I still enjoyed it.

The audio of this one was good. I didn't feel like the voices matched the characters as much as I hoped they would. As I listened I just couldn't visualize the characters with the narrators voices. Both narrators had great voices, don't get me wrong. I just couldn't match them with the story.

I will always read what Jill writes.

Death’s Favor is the second book of The Moretti Men series and I loved every bit of it! Tommy and Dani are complete opposites, yet they’re absolutely perfect together. Dani finds herself caught in a situation she didn’t ask for and doesn’t want, but Tommy? He decides she’s his from the start, and he’ll stop at nothing to make her his reality.

Tommy’s obsession is intense (he even calls her “wife” before they’re anywhere near the altar!), and their chemistry practically leaps off the page. The spice? Off the charts. This was such an addictive read. I devoured it in one sitting and didn’t want it to end!

🎧Maeve York and CJ Mission delivered a truly captivating performance in their duet narration. Their voices blended seamlessly, bringing depth, warmth, and realism to the characters. Each emotion felt genuine, and the chemistry between them made the story even more engaging. It felt less like listening to a book and more like being immersed in a living, breathing world. An outstanding narration that elevated the entire experience.

If you’re into possessive heroes, sizzling tension, and fast paced romance, Death’s Favor is a must read.

I was lucky enough to review Death’s Favor as an ALC and I had such a fun time listening to this one! It’s actually my first book by Jill, but I’ve always heard really great things about her writing and as a big mafia fan … the premise sounded really great to me. I think this is also a good one if you’re trying to get into mafia Romance — this wasn’t so heavily based around that kind of plot and focused a lot on the characters and their relationship development! I don’t think there is enough neurodivergent male characters that are written in romance, so I thought Tommy was a really interesting MMC and romance interest to follow along with! It really added a lot to the sort of Insta-lust/ love subplot going on and explains a lot about his infatuatiion and obsession with Danika. If you’re a fan of forced proximity and marriage of inconvenience… this is a really great book to pick up for that! The Duet narration audiobook with Maeve York and CJ Mission was phenomenally done, the narrators really brought the characters to life — especially Tommy! I will definitely be checking out more of Jill’s writing!

I adore Tommy!!

This was a great story. I loved the neurodivergent representation but even more so loved that Danika loved Tommy for all his little quirks that makes him who he is. While this is mafia, it wasn’t heavy on the scary mafia stuff. I mean, Danika is in the run from her very scary Russian mob father and runs right into the Italian mafias hands unbeknownst to her, but once she’s there, even though she’s being held captive, she actually feels safe and doesn’t want to leave. I love how family centered they are and not in the sense that the “familia” is better than everyone, but genuine family, including Danika’s mom and Gran who she’s very worried about.

Maeve and CJ were phenomenal in this narration. They were the perfect Danika and Tommy!

I love these Moretti Men! Dani is on the run from her Russian mob father, who has decided after years of not claiming her that she will be married to the reaper. Not down for this arranged marriage, Dani is hiding out when she finds herself tangled up with Tommy and the Italian mafia. Tommy has someone struggles of his own but vows to keep Dani safe... Eeek! I loved it! Five Stars!
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Maeve York and CJ Mission. This was my first time listening to either narrator. I loved their chemistry and the intensity they brought to this mafia world.

🎧

I loved this story. Right from the start I was hooked. Danika while on the run from the Russian mob runs into Tommy Donati from the Italian mob family. Tommy reluctantly decides to help her and the more he gets to know her the more he begins to "like" her. The chemistry runs deep with these two and watching the relationship unfold was interesting. The extra characters on both sides (her mom and grandmother and his brother and other mob associates) really helped bring this story to life.

CJ Mission and Maeve York did a wonderful job on the narration of this story. I listened to it all in one sitting.

Let me tell you Tommy had me down bad from the very beginning. When a big bad mafioso takes a keepsake from the person they’re obsessed with I swoon. Every.single.time!!!

“𝙔𝙤𝙪’𝙙 𝙗𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙨 𝙄’𝙙 𝙜𝙤 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪.”

I loved the representation in the book too. Tommy is neurodivergent, and Danika has hearing loss. They seriously made the perfect couple personality wise as she soothed his anxiety. I’m not going to lie, the possessiveness Tommy was giving was to die for. Like I know why she agreed to their arrangement so easily lolol cause I would have done the same damn thing. 🙂‍↕️🧎🏻‍♀️
