WOW GUYS YOU DELIVERED BIG

This was such an entertaining and addictive story with the perfect choice of narrators bringing Aria and Brand’s layered journey to life in such a wonderful way. Joe and Desireé made the hours fly by as the whirlwind romance deliciously flares, unfolds, picks-up speed and builds.. and then one.. two.. three sucker-punches you with the unveiling of secrets and truths, drama, suspense and a very clever plot twist I didn’t see coming. And who doesn’t love a broody, possessive, alpha, badass, sexy hero 🥰.

Worth a credit? Yes, the pace and flow was perfect, the characters were complex and I loved every single minute.. and I think this is my new favorite from this talented author.

Blown Away

I always love Desiree Ketchum and Joe Arden and this audiobook was no different. They brought Aria and Brand to life in a way I didn’t even know could be better than reading the book.
This story had twists I didn’t see coming, backgrounds that tied Brand and Aria together in ways you would never even know and everything between them is just more than it seems. I absolutely loved this story. I felt like as soon as you felt like things were getting intense everything you thought you knew changed in ways you never saw coming. I was glued to it from the moment I turned it on until it was finished.

Not good

Like this author. This book was just bad. Don’t understand the good reviews. The “twist” was super underwhelming and honestly kind of dumb. So many twist options and this one just blew. All of it was just…bad. 30 mins left and just don’t care.

Dark, Mysterious, and Steamy Ride!!

Deathly by Brynne Asher was dark, mysterious, and oh so steamy! Brynne Asher has quickly become one of my favorite go-to authors for romantic suspense, and Deathly captivated me with every gripping twist and turn from start to finish! I devoured this audio in one day because WOW...Aria and Brand's story was alluring and sexy and full of so many mind blowing secrets waiting to be uncovered!

Desiree Ketchum and Joe Arden narrate this audio, and these two were perfection as Brand and Aria. Desiree is brilliant at bringing Aria to life. Aria is a complex character with hidden secrets and deep, dark desires that are showcased in Desiree's mystifying performance. Not to mention, Desiree's male voice is hot, delectable goodness! Joe Arden's performance of Brand's alpha, dominant, and commanding personality was absolutely spot on, and definitely consumed all my attention. Plus, the way Joe delivers Brand's determination to protect and care or Aria is entrancing! Both narrators also brought all the heat with Brand and Aria's undeniable, addictive chemistry!

If you love a romantic suspense story with a demanding protective firefighter, a determined passionate psychologist, epic plot twists and turns, holy hot steamy times, a cute little dog named Muppet, mysterious secrets, and finally, (when you are able to catch your breath) a satisfying and seductive HEA, then you will absolute be mesmerized by Brand and Aria's "fairy tale from the dark web" story. I'm looking forward to Damaged next!

Brilliant!

What an exhilarating experience - starting with the breathtaking work of art on the Cover.
I just recently discovered this author and fell in love with her writing style and captivating story telling. But trust me when I say that with Deathly she is taking us to a whole new enthralling level.
We meet the protagonists at a charity auction for an animal shelter where Dr. Aria Dillon places a bid to adopt a sweet rescue pup and wins a date with Brando Vitale, the broody firefighter showcasing the spirited doodle.
And from there we are taken on a riveting, edge of your seat roller coaster ride of intrigue and suspense. The chemistry between Brand and Aria, the darkness and danger of their obsession with each other, as well as their their complicated histories and family ties make for a thrilling adventure you don’t want to miss!
The narration by Desiree Ketchum and Joe Arden is simply perfection!!!

Well Worth the Scorched Ears, it's SO HOT!!

Already in my top 5 for 2021, the Audible narration for Deathly by Desiree Ketchum and Joe Arden shoved it squarely into the 2nd spot for the year, and left me running to my account as soon as the book finished to see if Damaged had been released on audio yet!!

Desiree is perfection as Aria with that firm tone of "get it done" attitude in her voice, followed up by an undertone of wistfulness regarding Brand from the very beginning (if you know, you know.)

Joe Arden is smooth as silk, and still all the gruffness required as Brando Vitale. I swear a girl could get a little hot and bothered listening to him, but even more specifically scenes that I've needed a voice for for months now, were brilliantly and delightfully brought fully to life.

None of this narration would have been possible without the darkness and beauty of Brynne Asher's words on the page, and it bears repeating this book has firmly become a fast favorite of hers. I love the darkness, the humor throughout the deviousness of the suspense, and the outright sexiness of Aria and Brand together. All of this coupled with their immediate attempt to protect each other from all that is coming for them makes them my favorite couple since Brynne's Cowboy and her Dancer.

A solid 5 stars that I'd give 10 to if I could, if you haven't listened to the Audible yet, what the heck are you waiting for??

Wow!!!!

I first fell in love with Brynne Asher’s writing when I stumbled across her ‘Killer’ series. I loved every book in that series. I have had this book in my TBR for a while, so I finally found some time to sit and read it.

I DID NOT STOP--- I am still processing. I am not okay. I am freaking out. This book knocked me off my feet.

SO. MANY. TWIST.

SO. MANY. TURNS.

Based on the synopsis alone, I was not ready for what this book would put me through. The twist and the ultimate mic drop at the end was so unexpected. This type of thriller story is nothing I have read by this author and she killed it.

5 stars is not enough for this book. It takes all the stars. Aria and Brand story captivated my heart. It was truly a page turner. If you like romance, mystery, suspense, and a thriller-ish book-- this is for you. It is a WILD ride..

Omg, that twist! Perfection!

“Because, sometimes, depraved, debauched - Hell, or even Deathly- is the only option.”.. With a quote like this in the description of this book, how could I say no to it?! I love a great dark, twisted, suspenseful romance. Brynne Asher is a new to me author, and I went into this book completely blind. I am so glad I did! I was so totally obsessed with Brynne’s style of writing, and captivated by Dr. Aria Dillion and Brand Vitale’s story.
I do not want to give too much away in details, as it’s just that twisted and unique. Oh boy, those secrets that both characters keep! Wow!
From the very first time they meet it was an instant, intense, and immediate sexual chemistry which had me holding my breath. Both of these characters are so intense with everything they say and do from page 1 to the end. Brand, who’s very dominant, intense, bossy, demanding, and extremely impatient captivated me from the start. I feel head over heels for him instantly. Aria who’s so selfless, straight and narrow, complex, professional therapist, and timid. At the same time she knows what she wants, what’s she’s scared to have… she makes a life changing spur of the moment decision that allows Brand, the smoking hot firefighter (and Mafia boss’ son) to come into her life. Brand is immediately very persistent on pursuing Aria, and is also immediately very possessive of her. She thinks he’s very rude, reckless, and she’s scared of the heavy emotions she’s feeling toward him. Both hold a very deep and dark secrets of each of their pasts. Soon they both become all consumed in each other. The flow of the storyline was so captivating from beginning to end! Brynne did such an amazing job of this super roller coaster of a ride, and extremely kinky, sexy story! This had so many twists that were SO MAJOR, I am so impressed! I would have never figured it was going to turn out the way it did! Bravo Brynne!
Narration was by Desireé Ketchum and Joe Arden. Desireé was just sublime! Her portrayal of Aria was simply amazing. Her character had such a huge emotional range, and Desireé made you feel what Aria was feeling, and I felt like I was right there with her. In her self dialogue, she can go from very self doubting to very intense and self assured, Awesome job! Joe Arden’s performance was just divine. This is my favorite type of character I enjoy listening to Joe perform. He sure does have that whole “AlphaHole” tone and pace down to perfection. He portrays this completely domineering, sometimes scary over protective man who’s not playing around when it comes to someone he loves perfectly. I really enjoyed the many layers of this character Joe brought to life. I couldn’t ask for more, I absolutely loved it!
So, if you are looking for a extremely well written and performed Suspenseful, utterly captivating, steamy dark romance, look no further.. this one is for you! It completely blew my mind! I can’t wait to re-listen now I know all the secrets to the twists and turns that I never saw coming. More than a 5 star story and performance for me!

Omg that twist!!

Brynne Asher is a new to me author and I am officially OBSESSED! Deathly is a phenomenal story. The writing is addicting, thrilling and so very clever. This is a dark romance with a ton of suspense, angst and twists and turns you will never see coming. I absolutely loved it! From beginning to end I was completely consumed and did not want it to end.

Psychologist Dr. Aria Dillon's world is turned upside down the moment she meets Brand Vitale at a pet rescue charity event and wins a date with the hot fireman. Little did she know what she was really signing up for with that one date.

Brand is mysterious, brooding and all consuming. He had so many layers to him that I was desperate to uncover as I listened. He is dominating and devoted to Aria in the most addicting way and I could not get enough!

There is a huge plot twist that blew my mind and NEVER saw it coming. I LOOOOVE books like this! It left me reeling and totally stunned and I am still not over it!

Joe Arden and Desiree Ketchum were incredible bringing this story to life. This is the side of Joe's voice I wish we got more of. Deliciously dark, and edgier and I freaking loved it. Desiree was fantastic portraying Aria too!There are so many facets to her voice. Her talent just blows my mind. As I listened I felt the emotion, the passion, the danger and suspense in her every word. SO GOOD!!

If you are into dark, suspenseful reads this is the book to pick up. Highly recommend!

Desiree and Joe…audio perfection! Loved the book, the story, sisters relationships, the H/h relationship and the big twist that you don’t see coming! Brynne Asher is a favorite of mine, and the audio presentation was superb!
