Background music is a nuisance
For some reason, the producers felt the need to include a classical type of music at random points of the book. It’s very distracting and irritating. The narrator is very good and my favorite actually. But I will be returning this book because of the irritating music. If I have an option to get this book without the music I would get it instead even with an inferior narrator. Removing the music would be an easy fix.

Sounds effects - a nice addition
At first I HATED the sound effects but soon found They faded into the background as was a very soft enhancement.

While I love the story, I’m a big fan of Hamish, I didn’t think the background noise enhanced the narrative.. in fact I found it distracting.

music in background is horrible
why add this? Love this series, but background music and noises are awful and distracting - terrible idea! if it isn’t broken…. don’t fix it!

Background “music” and noise UGH!
Excellently read but the background music and noise totally ruined this recording. It was hard to listen to!
